Dogfights are basically non existent these days, unless you have a rail Incubus you just won't apply enough DPS before you have to reload and they just disengage or heal up that damage.

The problem is infantry would be douche bags and would pull out swarms and forge guns or the last remaining slot for a tank to shoot at them. The only possible way for this is for 2 corps to Queue-synch for a FW and to set rules for it to happen. (Ie: Infantry taking out all the turrets on both sides). It would be amazing to watch and participate in though, that's for sure.
Dropships need a buff. This way they can stop derping everywhere . ;_;

If we had custom matches (hahahahahhahahahahha #DUST), you could set it up in an ambush so there is no redline to run to. You do realize that dropships can actually, follow....other dropships to the flight ceiling, right?

ADS are primarily air to ground attack vehicles. It takes quite a lot of skill to down another ADS with an ADS.

Actually I've found railgun Incubus to be effective against other incubi with even a simple armor rep. It's like the Railgun does less damage against armor.

The railgun actually does indeed do less to armor. Incubus vs Incubus is tough, if they have a hardener up you simply cannot engage unless you're running a damage amp. We completely wreck shield ships though.
The real dogfight strength comes from hit scan and long range, so you can just pivot in place while tracking them, and you apply consistent DPS the whole time so long as you manage your heat. Investing in the reload skill is essential.

Tell me about it. Anytime I see a shield DS/ADS I rev up my Lvl. 2 Incubus and unload on them with that 20% fire rate increase. I don't run damage mods on mine unless it's a missile and I know there are no FGs/swarms/railtanks in range when I go to pound-town on a tank. But yea, since I can't really ever see the dot for the railgun I usually get into first person mode and pull out frontal charges/hover at eye level tanking damage while dishing out punishment.
Blasters are not an option for anything Not even against infantry :( )

Eh, XT Missiles also do the trick. I've taken out countless amounts of incubus's and pythons that try to go against me at least. (if they don't ram to win). Not to mention Vipers, those things I can kill in 1 clip from my Python.
Tankers are being diagnosed with a new disease; Cancer of the Assault Dropship.
Many of them don't survive.

Any competent pilot can evade the majority of your missiles. More times than not, if I run against a Python I'll just tank its damage while railing it into crit or death. If it's another Incubus I'll attempt to get the height advantage and rain down hell. In the events of a chase I'll switch into first person and line up my missiles accordingly to give him the #REKT status.

I've personally only ever died to missiles if they have a damage mod, I'm not paying attention, and they hit me from above. And that's happened, maaaybe twice, tops. It's just that a single clip won't kill you, and in the time it takes you to reload it's easy to gain the height advantage, heal up, and either engage or just run away.
I don't count anything that isn't an ADS as a dropship, personally lol. They're just clogging up the air space.
