Afraid to fight because it's ( blah corp ).... Every time I see (someone) leave battle I think "cowardly *****" I play solo 90% of the time and never leave even in proto stomp redline matches. Not having fun? Get guud, try Sumthin new.

It's pretentious to assume someone is leaving the battle based on the opposite team. Or based on your team if the other is leaving. There are a dozen reasons or more to leave a game.

Try a basic scout some re's and a cloak cost 5 k and very kill stays dead pop 3-4 careless protos before they know what hit them nothin but profit in those rounds.

The only time I leave is when a member of my squad isn't pulled in or RL tell me I have to. I am not afraid to lose ISK, die, have a bad KDR or any other reason. I would rather stay and push as hard as I can than leave.

how about played dust 514 for one minute then said NOT THIS MAP....AGAIN!!! quits battle and replaying fallout 3 all day
waiting to sample Fanfest build before saying NOT THIS GAME....AGAIN!! exits dust 514 and boots up PS4.
do those reasons work for ya?

There are 2 maps i don't like to play on and if i am running solo and get landed into ether of these maps then i quit before my first spawn.
Don't hate on people because they leave battle at the start if they don't like the map /opposing team. Hell they might even just be answering the phone . This is a gam and is supposed to be fun so if you look at a game or leader board and think this ain't fun for me there is no shame in quitting as long as you haven't spawned first.

I used to be a Merc like you, then I took a realization that I should be having fun in a game. If I know I'll get redlined and have 0 chance of helping my team succeed, then I'm out. I usually realize this when I'm the only one that hacked or even got near an objective and the opposite team has every other objective. |

I can count the number of times I left a game because of who I'm fighting on one hand. It is very annoying when you have a whole squad back out, really doesn't help the cause. Though, if they were that afraid, they probably wouldn't have been much help in the first place.

I haven't been redlined but a few times in months, I fight back and escape to drop uplinks. we may get rolled off the field but not redlined.

I quite often leave the battle if it's obvious I'm going to get stomped. I also make sure any new players I bring to the game do the same thing - check the line up - look out for these names - leave battle if they're stacked up against you.
Vets like yourself have never had to contend with it. You all specced up at the same time and you have no idea what it's like to be stomped. You lose money (sometimes real money) and you have zero fun. Sometimes you barely play a total of 30 seconds a match because vets like you are camping the spawnpoints.
Want to encourage new players to stay in battles? Stop playing like a *****.

The only time IGÇÖll leave battle is when:- A qsync with another squad didn't work,
- IGÇÖm running solo and it puts me into a battle just about to end,
- IGÇÖve had way way too much to drink, IGÇÖve got my rage jacket on and I rage quit LOL!

People leave battle for other reasons. Personally I have never left battle due to the opposing side. My reasons are:
- Someone in squad didn't get in or dcd.
- Someone wanted to join and we just deployed so sometimes we'll go grab them.
- Not this ******* map again!
That said, I don't mind people leaving at the start of a battle since you're better off without them. It's the a-holes who leave near the end that **** me off. Since the few times i'm running solo I always deploy into their lost battle.

I agree i never leave battles (unless afk/fatal error) but i always enjoy a good fight, but i always see full squads leaving the battle and then a load of randoms join. I HATE the games where we redline them its not fun.

I only leave if I get disconnected, I like fighting even against stacked odds.
As to other people leaving battle, I don't mind because I don't assume to know why they leave battle. If they do so for whatever reason, that's their reason. Disconnected, lost a squad mate, don't want to fight against someone or somethingGǪ whatever it's their choice, I have no judgement for that.
