What is the WP you need to graduate? 2000? once the newberries go through the "Easy mode" it is just a hectic confusion that goes over them. all that they are teached is how to deploy into battle, and somewhat how to make a suit. it needs to be expanded to until you make 100K WP and also a greatly improved NPE trial. have them go through SP routs and give advice, not just how to go in, and get shot. it just give a horrible impression on newberries and there is nothing being done about it. Since the recent game you guys just stopped maybe you can work on dust a bit more? fix this. I'm not asking you, i'm telling you. or, when I get my engine working, I'll make you do it, as I will be your boss.

Your engine? can you elaborate on what you mean by that?
If your a programmer, I am one aswell. I also have my own engine. :)

I agree with the NPE. It is like throwing an injured buffalo calf to a pack of hungry wolves. The calf gets destroyed and has no ability to put up a fight. I don't know if I would go all the way to 100k, but 25k-50k at least is reasonable. Give the players a chance to play around as a sniper, as a logi, as a scout, as a heavy, as an assault, and figure out which playstyle suites them best. They will naturally gravitate to a certain way of playing that resonates with them. This way they will have a chance to get some experience, some SP and ISK, and have an idea of what goes into a suit and how to build it. Also, do this without letting them spend ANY SP or ANY ISK! Give them the suits and weapons on an "Infinity" basis. Then when they hit that mark and "graduate", all the free stuff goes away and they will have SP and ISK available to spend and upgrade/get suits, etc. |

the problem is more attributable to the lack of a "high security" space that allows new players a relatively safe area.
dust has no such mechanic and thus the already mediocre npe is made 10 times worse. this is why ccp needs to be looking towards eve parity for certain aspects.
but yes we do need improved npe but that wont help much until we have a high sec area for new players to learn and grow.
as it currently stands you play 2 matches and get thrown into 0.0 sec with the wolves.
