Why not make vehicles repair in bulk amounts, don't nerf repairers but make them repair in set intervals, example every 10 seconds a madrugar repairs 1000 HP. The survivability of a tank does not go down but they become more vulnerable to burst damage.
Although I think another good step is making both armor and shield repair passive and reducing the HP/s amounts and applying the mechanic above in shorter intervals.

If it's gotta be passive reps... then more like 3-6 seconds interval. So 300-600 per 3-6 seconds for Basic Heavy Armor Repairer without skills and 360-720 per 3-6 seconds for Enhanced and 420-840 per 3-6 seconds for Complex. And personally I think Shield Native Regen should be about half of what it is but instead persist even when you take damage.
R.I.P. Pre-1.7 Vehicles & AV, you will be missed.

Why are tanks still an issue ??? I swarm and forge them and I know I'm not as SP invested as most , nor have I some " secret sauce " to apply when I'm out there working .
You people need to stop this , everyday it's like 10 post talking about tanks , I swear if you people put the effort in working to fight tanks .. that you put into writing post then tankers would QQ about how inferior their role is .
I was watching you tube and this guy just started a match and there was two tanks , " TWO " and he was talking about tank spam .
Now I can understand five or six but two ??? People like that just want to kill the role for others , I just played a game where there were four to five drop ships in that match and I would never call that drop ship spam , when I see that I just see players who invested their SP's in a role .. enjoy themselves and make use of the SP's that they invested .
I swarm kill tanks and now I have advanced FG's and I have killed a few and driven them away with my FG and I know that I haven't been FGing longer than most . People talk about a bug now as well but I have no problem in doing what I do .
This is getting tiresome and it's always the same people over and over again with this waste of time and garbage .
If the community doesn't say anything then I will , if tankers don't stand up for them selves then I will because seeing this in the forums every freaking day is like a child having a temper tantrum .
Get over it already , tanks are a part of this game and with the massive investments that are involved in vehicle's they should not be pushovers .
There are so many other causes to fight for and problems in this game , you would think that if these same players truly cared about this game , those flags would be raised in an attempt to get CCP's attention with all the bugs , incorrect stats and problems but no , that's too easy and would actually accomplish something , which it's clear that .. these same people are not trying to do .. something that solves a problem and bring some substance to this snooze fest .
Stop asking for tiercide , your killing variety and the fun of this game at the same dam time .

I'm not downing your piece OP but I just had to say this and maybe I will write a post of my own on the topic but most who call themselves tankers with the exception of a few , just sit around and allow their role to be dogged every single day .
10 or more a day is excessive and it's every day .
Post after post like it's a real problem and they can't be destroyed .
I apologize to you OP for breaking up your post .
Edit : I know that anything with the word tank in it will have the same torchbearers running to see .

It's sad but some infantry will always find a way to hate their hard counters
notice how they say the blaster is a major issue when it is a joke AV wise and then how they say the railgun is fine when it is arguably the most broken weapon in the game?

Just fix the AV and leave the tanks the way they are... If you buff AV and change tanks again, it'd become AVs are OP AV>Tanks again... Leave the tanks alone... With the Nerf to Rail turrets, they are sort of forced to come closer now. If they fix AV now, it'd be fun fighting tanks.. |

Ya buff Av to fight tanks but that buff to Av would effect dropships and installations to its more then buff av nerf tanks. Lots of little calculations need to come in to play

Very true...
- Someone posted something about Buffing the HP on Installations. They are too weak and Easy WP for tankers, FG and REs - DS even at their current state would face some challenges if the FG worked properly - Swarms scare DS and AV but they barely kill them
