Plasma Cannon is probably the only weapon since Uprising released that wasn't touched at all. And yet it's the most underpowered PoS that the game has to offfer.

It can do ******* double damage than what it does right now and it would be balanced. That's right, DOUBLE.

I've always thought that if they just removed the arc, and made it like an RPG, and bumped up the damage by maybe 30% or so, it'd be viable. |

It would still need faster projectile speed IMHO, otherwise it would need a higher damage buff.

Just make it like the unguided swarms of old...an RPG that shoots one glob of plasma at a reasonable velocity.
Currently the Plasma Cannon performs like the plasma bolt on Wraiths from HALO: huge arc, slow and easy to avoid. Make it more like an RPG and most of the Plasma Cannon's problems would be solved.

The funny thing is that damage over time isn't a new feature. I'm sur eyou remember but for that don't back in Chromosome the moment a vehicle caught fire it would take damage the entire time it was on fire until it either exploded or you repped enough armor for the fire to stop.

I was thinking about this...we aptly named it "armor burn."
