i noticed a post in the forums about the assault bonuses and just looking at it i thought all people were doing was trying to make it so there races suit has the best bonus
other posts were showing that the slots should be changed around personally i think it can be a bit more simpler then that
instead of changing the slots or bonuses why not just sort out the suit give it more HP like what they did to the heavy suits in either 1.5 or 1.6
Gallente gets 100 added to Armour = 120 shields 310 armor Caldari gets 100 added to shield = 310 shields 120 armor Amaar gets 50 added to shield and 50 added to armor = 230 shields 230 armor Minmatar gets 65 added to shields 35 added to armor = 215 shields 170 armor
and with the + 5 added to shields and armor upgrades though the skill tree will give the suits the following
Gallente 150 shields 387 armor Caldari 387 shields 150 armor Amaar 287 shields 287 armor Minmater 268 shields 212 armor
and that's not even including the plating and shields extenders |

Don't just add 100 to each suit. They are supposed to be more varied than that. Amarr is the slowest, but with the most hit points. You are making their advantage. negligible. The increase in hit points for each suit needs to be weighted based on their current hit points.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

ok i agree it was an example and i am happy for the feed back think it could work though and fizzers idea does seem to be better then what i put up
but will people like the idea or just want to continue arguing on what suit should have the better bonus |

People will never all be happy. I think that this would be a fine idea, though. Should this only affect assault suits, or all medium frames? Unspecialized suits have the same stats as assaults. Logistics suits are already slower with fewer base hit points.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

reason i said change the HP is becuase lets face it the logi suits and Scout suits have more HP is total and well by rights the assault is meant to have the highest HP hence the name Assault suit :) |

I wouldn't say no to an hp buff, but personally I would like to see a bit more differentiation to assault suits like inherent reload speed, max ammo/grenades, better rep rate something like that rather than just stacking on more hp.

yeah but that would bring back the original problem people will complain that assualt suits will have to much of an advantage and say over powered and it wont fix the issue |

I can't find the thread right now, but CCP Logibro has stated that the next thing to be rebalanced are dropsuit slot layouts and attributes (e.g. CPU/PG, and eHP). I'm hoping we see that in the first expansion.
A lot is riding on fanfest...

So you want a Galente Proto Assault with 476,5 shield, 1141.5 armor a total of 1618 HP ??? This is what happens with 4 complex AP, 2 complex SE,1 Enhanced SE and a Republic Boundles CBR. How much HP has a heavy ???
Best buff for the Assault suites will be CPU/PG bonus to weapons (side arms,grenades,light weapons) for all assaults. The only i see work are Minmatar Assault: +5% to projectile light/sidearm clip size per level. Amarr Assault: 5% reduction to laser weaponry heat build-up per level. The Caldari and Gallente bonuses are useless. |

why not you got logis with 4 damage mods on and 5 complex amour reaching 900 HP and 3 repair nonos and a basic combat or magsec messing people up
you got heavys with resistance to weapon damage on the field
you got scouts with 700 armour and cloaking devices
why should the assault suit be the most useless armour on the field it is meant to be a front line suit strongest out of the medium and light frames
logi is meant to be defensive and support dropping uplinks and nanos using repair tools and having a gun to protect itself
heavys are meant to hold areas down and stop enemy forces from advancing
scouts are meant to seek out enemy units take objectives and dash in and out of battle
this doesnt happen what you see is a scout taking out assaults with shotguns in 2 shots before the assault knows were the scout is
a logi holding areas and using its suit as a more improved assault and outclassing the assault suit in pretty much anything
and the heavy messing the assault up in any combat situtation
the assault suit is the most dis advantaged suit and most useless suit in the game why shouldnt it have a little more HP the heavy did when it was pretty useless |

the suit i currently have has 2 complex AP and 1 complex SE giving me 559 Armour 223 shields with the new HP i would be able to have 626 Armour 247 shields it will defo give me more of a chance to fight off enemy units
besides with what you have put down you giving the suit tons more Armour and shields would mean they will have to give up granades, damage mods, side arm and equipment its just one big slow tank no one will want to use it it wont be able to do much damage and it will be very slow and way to easy to take out |
