Hello, Tinker Pi here. I recently made another character but before I start tossing ISK and AUR around I wanted to ask about what would be best suited for a combat medic. I am going to go SMG's for weapon and that alone. But what about armor? I need to be able to carry a NanoInjector and a Repair tool, and I am not sure which armors are the best for this field. Sure anything with 2 equipment slots would work, but I prefer to not get eaten up as soon as a drop ship touches down. Any other suggestions like what Repair Tools/Nano Injectors are best for speedy and effective healing/repair. |

Get your shields and armor to level 5 immediately. Eventually you'll want to get you Electronics and Engineering up but level 3 is adequate for most everything ADV which is good enough.
Plates are going to make you a bit slower so it is honestly up to your own play style.
If you are hit and run combat medic just picking up randoms, you want plates without a speed penalty and a few shield extenders to help with that get away.
If you are with team always at ready and in the firefight with them, you want the enhanced/complex plates to get the most eHP for your buck. Also, consider a reactive plate if you only have 2 slots available. If you have 3, consider adding an armor repper. Those things do more than you think to turn a battle and get you back to your job with your team.
For EQ, I actually run the bpo needle but that's because my fits are all adv and its starting to get costly with all these sneaky scouts. I have a whole squad to clear rooms so I can pick up people. If you're running solo, you're likely to be that guy that picks up someone who will die immediately with a basic or militia injector. However, if you got good gun game and know how to really clear a room solo, you can make that decision for yourself.
As far as Rep tools go, I can preach all day about how the BDR-8 tool is the best tool out there. I don't care how much people rave about the Core Focused Tool. I love it but its insanely expensive and a true risk to run due to the limited range, even with proto min logi skills, its range is fairly limited. That means your body is often going to get clipped by shots more often than you'd like. You'll have to abandon your team a few times just to recover yourself.
Whereas the BDR-8 has phenomenal range, so even those blueberries that had to duck into cover across from me, I can usually reach from the safety of my own cover and get them back in the fight. It is my preferred rep tool of any available in pubs.

Needles are pretty much all the same. Basc < ADV < Proto and so on. For Rep tools your going to want anything that extends your rep range BDR-8 or the Lal Dal Proto variant.
If your a medic also carry around Nanohive (R)s your already skilling into Needles and Nanohives share the same skill so that's two birds with one stone. You can't be everywhere or heal everyone in a group.
Nanohive(R)s give mass health for groups and stick around an area far longer than you do.
Finally for suit preference it comes down to the Cal or Min logi. Do you want higher shields and Nanohive(R)s that stick around longer or do you want a Longer repair tool range and efficiency. If you want higher shields and Better Nanohive(R)s go for the Cal Logi. Go for the Min logi if you want to max out your Repair tool.
Another thing the Cal logi only gets 3 equipment slots while the Min logi gets 4 so keep that in mind when making a choice.
When you turn a corner and find the entire enemy team.Oh Heck
