I m a wannabe Min assault, after 1.8 I wanted to skill both Min scout and Min assault but after skilling the scout and all those other skill I needed I didnt have enough sp left for the minassault. I m collecting my SP to skill it so I ll have it in a week or two.

I play all MInmatar roles

My alt is assault (V) and logi (IV). I play assault 80% of the time on that character. Its ******* kick ass

The saving to system requirements for weapons allows me to max out its protection and run the best combo of sidearm and primary. The number of times enemies have flanked my position and expected my LR / MD fit to be weak in direct combat only to find I have a beastly SMG for backup with 100 rounds in the mag

Being able to flank a position and take down up to 7+ people with just a weapon swap and no reload is immense. The stamina recovery allows me to run up to a position, make a quick assessment and have the stamina to either push the advantage or fall back. This makes it far far more survivable than my logi, even with about 100-200 extra hp (don't ask me how, maybe they just pick on the yellow guys )

I do really miss the 4 shot mag flaylock though. Didn't help but it was cool to have. I still have one on my ACR fit, largely cus a SMG doesn't really add much to that primary (apart from ammo pool). Does surprise the occasional scout though, lol.

I've been a Minnie Assault ever since Uprising came out. Love the suit, but I just got to figure out what to fit in the lows on my advanced. Any suggestions?
And just saying, the proto suit reminds me of a panda ^_^

I'm a full-time Min Commando, but I intend to get a point or two into Min Assault when I have some points to spare.

Is that a new class? If so, I suppose they may apply the most damage in game. Do they?

I tragically dropped my Minnie Assault suit once patch 1.8 came out, not sure if I should go back to it or not... Just tired of the abysmal shield regen.

I have an alt with Minassault.
It sucks. Nothing decent fits into the suit, i have to leave some slots empty and can't have a decent tank.
I liked it at first, but not anymore, i barely play with it unless i want to fly better dropships. I think the slot layout is wrong

I really want to make the minmatar assault work but I don't like shields

I dual tank my minmatar logi because I can't just rely on my shields. Then again I have never shield tanked such an agile suit.

I can never figure out if it is better to run 500+ total shields or have 30+ shield regen...

I'm just getting into the assault role and am skilling both Cal and Min assault to level 3 (I'll use AUR to play around with proto suits on rare occasions).

I chose to get the Cal assault to advanced first, simply because I find that at this point, with my current gun game, the extra EHP is more helpful than the ridiculous stamina/regen the Minnie suit has.

However, reading this thread, it's obvious I'm doing it wrong. I'll get the Min suit to advanced stat (after I get complex shield extenders in a couple days) and will not be afraid to run away. (Dunno why this never occurred to me--again, I'm learning the assault role ATM, so this is sort of revelatory for me--I usually run scout, so GTFO is my motto. Good to know it applies to assaults as well! )

Seems like I'd do well to skill MDs and CRs to advanced, too, though for some reason I can't stop my love affair with the AR--maybe it's cuz she's so easy? .

Anyway, I'm glad I'll have options, since I was mainly interested in a shield tanking assault. One way, I'll have a fair amount more EHP, the other I will be Usain Bolt. Let the good times roll!

I would love to squad up with any folks on the Min assault channel--I definitely trust the rust, but not myself. Teach me to be a savage, tetanus-giving cheeetah!
