Countless of times I've seen EVE players that think they know everything about dust. The thing is, dust is a completely different genre of glto EVE with only a few things that are alike. An FPS does everything a lot different to a point and click game that EVE is.
So for the love of all things dust, stop trying to use pointless EVE logic to base your arguements on. If you want to improve dusts gameplay theres only so much you could take from a point and click MMO. You need to look at other FPSs, old and new and see what they did right and wrong and improve on that.
Not, EVE does this so dust must!

No there will be no SP refund for AURUM system ever to be implaced, just earn your damn SP by 'pointing' that gun and 'clicking' to shoot...

Ok since dust doesn't relate to eve, laser weapons should do damage to armor. Missiles should destroy shields, and rail guns should Be a cqc weapon.

Since they share lore, they should be similar in many aspects imo.

why is this thread necessary?
do you even play eve? or dust? (trolling the forums doesn't count.)
i play both and am good at both, and there's multiple areas that dust can borrow ideas from eve- and areas that it does. when you post garbage like this it leads me to believe that you don't even play eve. |

I heartily disagree with you. I play both game. We inhabit the same universe so the same laws and tenets we abide by in EVE must be translated to dust, even if not directly.
Arguing that these are two different games when essentially they are not is equally as pointless as you say.
While not all things can be translated, core underlying technologies, mechanics, systems of balance should abide by the rules set out before us in EVE, on which such success had led to Dusts development. As a die hard fan of both games the close these two games become the better, I believe, they will feel.
Additionally and I have to point this out....point and click MMO? Shows you ignorance. To be a good pilot in EVE requires far more skill and time investment than it does to become a half decent FPS player, and I say this being an FPS player before EVE player, sure two different skill sets but EVE requires far more of a learning curve than dust.

I guess everything is alright... Some of the Dust players who play EvE are surprisingly very good at shooting stuff in Dust too... LOL ... For the Rest, too much jibber jabber on the Chat channels, my Local Channels are always filled with "How someone ganked someone elses ship" and "How they know dust better than anyone of US" "How we are morons cause we dont have the time to play EvE" other than the epeen stroking and wanna be know it all attitude, i dont think they are all that bad... Mostly bad at shooting stuff in dust but not bad peeps lol... |

The thing i want from FPS players is that they do not stop telling CCP what they think of our core FPS mechanics: our movement, interaction with environment, animation timing, lag compensation, unassisted aiming, DS3/KB&M input systems, comms, squad tools, WP reward systems.
But to be totally honest, the FPS community hasn't been able to move CCP very much when it comes to the state of the core game. And they haven't been alone, there's a lot of EVE players who have been right there with them in stressing the importance of the FPS core to CCP.
Tbh it's been like speaking into the void.
I support SP rollover.
