you should create a gallente heavy weapon that launches a drone into the air.
the drone will passively follow the owner, and while it's deployed the weapons functions are similar to a squad leaders. the controller can put attack orders on players and vehicles and the drone would go after them to a set control range.
on top of this, have it so that the owner could enter a first person mode with the drone leaving them standing vulnerable and not present, but in full control of their drone granting better accuracy and control than the ai could afford, as well as making it a makeshift scout.

Maybe if you could only gain full control a set distance away from the redline, or we'll just get a whole new breed of redline retards.

no yeah, firstly make them destroyable. as well as that keep their range pretty limited, 50-100m. make it risky to go first person, but something that's possible to do while hiding on top of say the mushroom or something, you know? |

Would rather this be an equipment or a grenade slot item since the Gallentes specialize in drone usage not just heavy suits.

If you mean 50 - 100m from the user that sounds interesting. Maybe the drone could have different varients increasing it's distance, damage, or accuracy. Something along those lines.

yeah exactly. i was thinking that the variants could range from anti infantry and anti vehicle. hence putting it on a heavy... they'd be big. |

Someone posted their thoughts on equipment based drones a while back. I recall it being very detailed and thought out, but i have no idea where to find it lol.
