DUST 514 is in the New Eden Galaxy... Regardless of what platform it exists on.

Players are going to be coming to DUST 514 from the PC world. This is a Fact and a Reality you have to get around for your own benefit.

CCP Understood that a 60 dollar piece of Hardware to Emulate the Mouse and Keyboard for players coming from the PC world was a small investment for that crowd. CCP Knew that When someone buys a 60 dollar Emulator and uses it with CoD's Aim Assist and Battlefield.. You Name it.
Then the Mouse and Keyboard has a Ridiculous Unbalanced overpowered nature in a Console game.

And in a Game like DUST 514 where players will be Loosing ISK and assets with each loss and in many Cases Loosing Aurum so real cash per loss. This kind of peripheral had to be balanced across the board from DS3 to Mouse and keyboard in DUST 514.

CCP Understood the nature of players from the New Eden Galaxy.. And Understands the PC world quite well enough to know players would take advantage of this.

CCP Then built in Mouse And Keyboard Support with Many many limiting factors And then Balanced it with the DS3... So If players went out and bought that 60 dollar Emulator they would have no more of an advantage then if they just plugged in their mouse and keyboard... As DS3 and Mouse and Keyboard are balanced.

This is how it HAS to be or there will ALWAYS be an unfair advantage to those who go and buy an emulator and use the Completely Unbalanced DS3 controls instead of there being little to no difference between peripherals other then personal preference like it was in Chromosome.

Keyboard has movement acceleration just like the DS3... It Emulates the DS3... There is no more ability to go back and fourth then what exists on a gamepad... DUST Tournaments, Corp Battles, PC Since the day it came out has proven this. If it makes people feel better when someone out strafes them with a gamepad? The best straffer's in DUST are proud Gamepad users.. The Whole reality thing again.

The only thing truly hurting this game is PS4... Meh PS4 and XBOX one are still in their infantile release stages. It won't really impact the game until next christmas when both have gotten into the full swing of a decent game library.

We've got another one, put on the riot gear. But in all seriousness much in the same way as the dodo bird and the dreamcast, releasing an unfinished game for the ps3 5 months before the ps4 release was pretty much a Duke Nukem Forever situation. By the looks of it CCP went well behind schedule and was forced to release far too late to garner much attention. I've had a hell of a time finding any major reviews on this game, including youtubers. Only youtube videos I've found on the game are fan made where they pretty much only do a few vids on dust and that's it.

That's about as equally idiotic as saying DS3 emulation shouldn't be allowed in PC games. CCP decided to support it, heck it was even one of the main selling points of this game. It is up to CCP on whether or not it should exist, and since they've decided that it should exist, they should bring it on-par with DS3. I'm not sure why your invoking a stereotype, but it's rather amusing to claim that KB/M users are condescending while stating that KB/M controls should be inferior to DS3 controls. People want the M&KB support because it is objectively better than the controller, but it also requires people to look like nerd lords and set up their ps3 and TV 12 inches from their face as if it were a computer, which also means playing on a monitor instead of my 39" tv. This was meant to explain the advantages of being able to spam left and right controls in a manner that would break your thumbs on a controller to make hit scans which most these weapons are miss most of the time. You can't lead shot since most the weapons are hit scan and with them constantly moving the game gets ****** with hit detection. And obviously a mouse has much greater aiming precision and speed then that of an analog stick. I don't care either way what's going on with the KB/M, just with the 1.8 skill glitches and the need for them to actually churn out some new content like PVE and the Player Market. I don't want CCP having an excuse to "Work on" KB/M controls for two months.

Sounds like wasting time for the EVE players that bother with this game is a great idea, guess it's better then them going on holiday for two months again.
