CCP Saberwing, I only pick your name because you recently posted today.
The community is whiny. Like, really whiny.
Don't spend the next few builds balancing for people who won't be happy either way.
Spend time adding content-
PLAYER MARKET - I have 40 Thales; let me sell them.
PVE - Vastly improved NPE
INTEGRATION WITH EVE ECONOMY - Dust gear manufactured in Eve; Eve resources procured [significantly more efficiently] through Dust players
Like, those 3 things right there would bring this game to the next level.

If y'all think that an isk/asset reset will set vets back, you are wrong.
We only stuck around this long BC we were OP enough not to go broke and not to get protostomped every game. We cannot be nerfed, I've got 34m so and 3 specializations- 3! I have several million wasted in equipment and it hasn't even set ms back. There are guys with 45m so and 6 specializations!
I'd be pissed if I lost my isk, but i run cheap gear in pubs anyway, so I really wouldn't be affected...

The rich are rich be they played the game that existed at the time. Punishing the wealthy for CCP's market design is bad business.
Keep in mind I'm not rich. Rich is megacorp CEOs with billions of isk. I have 300,000,000 which is the average for moderately active PC guys. I'm middle class if anything. If you're poor in Dust, it's BC you're a kdr ***** who refuses to run anything but proto.
Also, a free market will help poor players and non-fotmers. Competition will drive down the prices of everything and unpopular gear will sell for less than it does now. Yes, the rich will get richer, but the poor will end up saving money. Honestly, who cares if one corp has 2000 Thales stockpiled? Not I.
I want an open market to sell the gear I don't need anymore.
Face it, the rich are rich BC we are better than those who are not at playing the entire game.
New guys cry BC they don't have 40mil SP. Next year 80mil won't be uncommon. Then what? You want an SP reset too? It's an RPG; I don't have 45m sp BC I don't want to play this game for 6 hours a day. Maybe 2 hours if my wife ain't around. Do y'all see me crying BC I don't have 6 proto suits? How about crying BC I have millions of isk in cal logi suits and equipment I'll never touch again. I don't care. I got what I paid for. All of you need to play the game that we have or leave; it's what the rest of us did.

I realize top corps remain on top because of the tight squads they run and the tactics they use. It's frustrating, but also cool to see that type of play, even if it's from who is about to kill you. I'm just confused as to why you want to drive your Ferarri down my pothole riddled street in the slums of Molden Heath. I'm forced to be around a bunch of yuppie/rich pricks in my real neighborhood who "do what they want 'cuz they can" over the last few years and I sure don't need to see any more in my fantasy life.
ISK wipe for sure, but a market really means nothing until crafting and recourse managment comes into play.
I see your point, but where else do we go? PC battles are far from constant and FW reward is with LP. Those are useless.
Perhaps if we got rewarded with ISK instead of LP and having a good rating with a certain faction reduced the isk cost of racial items AND we got team deploy AND the rewards for winning were always in the millions.
