You're having an SP event. Cool.
Have some odd ball ones. And show them on the score pages somewhere.
Most ISK used during the match +25 or +10,000 isk
Most expensive Dropsuit used or killed. +25
Killed by a deadman (0 shield, 0 armor) +5
Most HP Healed +25 Most HP Caused by Grenades +5 Most HP Caused by Sidearm +10
Most HP suffered from Road Kill +25 Most HP suffered, but not killed by vehicle +50 Most Road Kill caused HP +25
Most distance traveled walking/sprinting by a Heavy Suit. +25
Most kills by a cloaked Scout w/o using a shotgun +25
Most Proto Dropsuit kills by a Militia Dropsuit +100 Or ISK difference between suit kills 100,000 suit killed by a 15,000 suit is the biggest differences during the match +50
Proto Dropsuit damage caused by a Militia or Standard weapon +25
You see where I'm going with this. Have fun with it. Most deaths by headshot (at least 2 deaths) +10.
Maybe only let folks know about 5 of them, but have 10 or 15 of them, so people have to figure out what they are.
--
Maybe during an event, in all Ambushes say, you get Squad Bonuses, whether you are in a squad or not. Intel kill points +15 for scanners. +60 for spawning, etc, etc.
Show people what being in a squad is worth.
--
Maybe scale points for healing. +10 for Militia/Standard healing, +25 for Advanced healing, etc.
Repair tool - scale the points for HP repaired. This works for people and things. 25% +25 or +5 50% +50 or +10
Thanks for reading this. |

SP events are bad in general, in my opinion.
I don't mind when you have to use a certain loadout (heavy w/ FG or HMG OR Scout with knives) since it actually feels like an event, but a "LOL here you go guis, mo' SP if you play :D" is boring. That's just because there aren't any more ideas on the table. It's lazy and doesn't affect gameplay at all, it just makes grinding more apparent and seem useful.
You know what events I enjoyed besides the two that I already mentioned? The Black Eagles event, Mordu's Trials and the one where you could play with/against Devs (sadly, I never participated because I could never find a match).
Hell, even the Million Clone Challenge is better than the SP Acceleration ones since the community had to work together.
There should be an event for Flaylock Kills or Plasma Cannon for the lulz |

The problem is that the current mechanics of the game don't give much room for imagination. We can't even track our progress unless we pull out a pen and a piece of paper.
The kind of events I like to see in the future (thinking long-term here) is one where you're in an open-world environment where there is no queuing for a match or anything like that, but you are left to fend for yourself as you travel from one colony to the next. CCP Devs acting as an invasion force where they are wearing super-rare gear that can be salvaged. If they want, they could also attack the colony you are residing in.

What was that challenge where we had to kill the suit that looked different? It was a long time ago. I liked the Templar event concept but it was implemented poorly and I agree that the Black Eagle event was fun.
If they want to make us want to play more often or get more EVE type connections then they should crash a ship on a planet every once in a while and use it as a backdrop for the event and only give rewards for that battle.
I am just going to throw the idea I am thinking of out there that I have just now made up. I am not saying that this is how it should be, it is only an example of how I think an event should work to make them more fun and engaging.
Have a Black Eagle cruiser crash and have the defenders be all in Black Eagle gear and trying to defend the wreck. If the defenders make a kill then they get the bonus and if the win then the bonus is increased. Stuff like that would be way more fun than just 5X SP for AFKing in the MCC. Make them only work in FW or something like that because a blanket event is kind of boring and very repetitive.

I think you're referring to the Quafe Suit event. That was when we were hunting CCP Devs wearing those Quafe suits back in closed beta. Unfortunately the color of the suits were changed from White and Pink (think "Hello Kitty") to the modern-day Black and Purple.
