I'd rather they get something different, as we already have two SMGs and they're neither terribly unique nor terribly exciting. So, instead of "Laser SMG" and such, maybe a Tron-style throwing disc made of Laser. It could be called, um, "LaserDisc" or, uh, something sorta like that. |

Yes, implement a Gallente SMG.
Have it fire in three-round bursts at 8 damage per burst with an optimal range of 25m. Make it a pain in the ass to use like every other Gallente weapon.
