And it is never coming back, the mauraders, the enforcers, the black ops, the logistics are all gone and will never return, I do not see how CCP will re-introduce them.
The thrill and adrenaline in having two fully proto tanks fight each other knowing one would lose 2 mil+. ThE MASSIVE customization has gone, heat sinks, spool reduction, specialised turrets, spider tanking are all but gone.
Why? Because CCP wanted generic tanks.
its all gone for good, when we did have pre 1.7 vehicles, actually pre uprising vehicles, the fits and skills were closer to eve and a good pilot who be rewarded for such.
All that was truly needed for vehicle rebalance was ammunition, rendering fixes and the AV damage numbers of 1.7, this meant no invincible vehicles, back flipping tanks, 4 months of AV an vehicle QQ, and still going.
With 1.6 vehicles and 1.7 AV, I think that vehicles and AV would have been balanced.
RIP to pre Uprising 1.7 vehicles.
Why do you keep going backwards with content and progression CCP? I guess its just like how a corporate company seeking profits goes.

The remaining community also sucks, I gottm 8 hate mails while killing dudes from my dropship today and some called me a cheating ******, one of which was also in the same pilot chat as me.

I agree to an extent. I miss heat sinks, overdrives, and remote reps/boosters, but most of what we lost was pointless.
I would like to see CCP refocus on expanding vehicles again.

I dunno. I had one tank fit that lasted from closed beta to 1.7. 3 hardeners, Plate, Repairer. When PG was nerfed, it was 2 hardeners, Plate, PG Enhancer, and Repairer. Heat Sink in the high slot; would have had a scanner + heat sink but the module wheel had a fit if there was more than 4 things to turn on when the change to PG happened. It was simply the best option to use for my Madrugar. Now things have changed. I have more than a single fit to do different things.

I don't think it is better, just different really.

They will be reintroduced, when the current versions are balanced.
It's like trying to introduce just Commandos when Heavies were underpowered.

I don't think it is better, just different really. This, all throughout chrome and upto our last rebalance there was basically 1 fit for gunnys and 1 fit for maddys. Enforcers were outclassed by them, while marauders were just pointless because they had barely any extra pg and no extra racialslots(lows for armor highs for shields I mean) and back then 2 damage mods with a compressed particle cannon was the magic number, which the gunny was able to do.... Seriously anyone saying there was variety in tank fits before this was one of the scrubs who though av was OP. Nowadays its gone from those specific fits to either stack all hardeners, stack all damage mods, or if you armor tank stack all reps. The only unique thing they've taken out so far is the ability to remote rep vehicles, which does suck but with hardener mechanics, wouldn't matter much anyways.

Rendering would have fixed A LOT OF PROBLEMS with tanks and AV balance.
The gunnlogi needed some lovin as well, as when stacked with the maddie back then, it was weak in all aspects. And I loved how people always counter, well it's meant for range duh. Hmm hello? You know a maddie can fit a rail to right, and gun depression actually gave it an advantage over the gunnlogi (one of many).
Make sense much?

WHAT? That is NOT true at all. For one, the madrudger was the way to go, with a blaster no less. Those things murdered gunnlogis up close like they were nothing, and were the superior tank because of the damage it could take. I remember shooting maddies with my rail, knowing I could never put out enough damage to drop it, but I could keep it drove away.
And yes, there were mods people called, useless. I know a lot of people went with the cookie cutter fits (and there was certainly more than just 2). I myself used unorthodox fits, stacking heatsinks, or even using the nitro to dodge shots. Trust me fella, there was a LOT of diversity, just a lot of people never used them the way they were meant to be used.
They went with the "easy mode" fits.

Funny, I posted essentially the same thing, only much more simply stated and got blasted by scrubs that fancy themselves "skilled" defending zero sp invested militia tanks as being just as powerful as sp invested tanks.
Apparently, it is unfair to have sp investment count for something and module slots that allow for interesting theorycrafting in order to defeat opponents. The TANKOPHOBES want equality and power without any sp investment.
Makes you wonder how more stuff is even going to fit in or have any room to be different.
Too simplified and generic.

Me and some members of L.O.T.I.S had are advance Av fits on in a dom we keeper 6 tanks away from the letter in the tanks was delay and Ceo pyrex so after we won I sent him a gg mail he replied with something along the lines of not really coz we was protostomping. So I show him respect and he complains coz him and his boys didn't stomp us.and as a vetish pilot iv had no hate mails but lots of cheap ships ram me now days I guess that's hate right lol.

There was such a great variety , that's what kept people from claiming that tanks were OP like you see players doing now but you really don't have much of a choice or much in the selection department and with a generic base of mods and slots , with a dummied down version of vehicles as a whole ( Is the Saga-II different from the first ? ) creates the conditions that are present .
Hopefully things will be reintroduced and with the bare essentials in place and working properly .. hopefully what is reintroduced follows suit .
Stop asking for tiercide , your killing variety and the fun of this game at the same dam time .
