Brief summary about why Frankenstein suffers so much. He creates a monster. The monster terrifies him with its appearance. So Frankenstein runs away leaving the monster. In turn the monster goes through really rough time (he kills Frankenstein's brother and is denied friendship from a family) and goes back to Frankenstein and demands a wife. By now Frankenstein does not want to create another monster but the monster says he will go live in exile so Frankenstein agrees. When Frankenstein was about finish the female monster ( bride of the first monster ) he starts to doubt if the new monster will live in peace like the first monster said So 2nd monsters completion, he destroyed it with original monster watching. After that the original monster killed all of Frankenstein's family as revenge.
Now lets bring this into terms of dust.
Ccp is Frankenstein while the monster ( no offense) is DNS. The expansion of more districts for PC is like the monster asking for a bride. CCP has no proof that this new area set for PC won't be conquered by one alliance. DNS is saying they won't , but that isn't much a guarantee to CCP because CCP can't stop them from doing other wise. I'm not saying DNS is full liars. Conquering all of the districts in molden heath shows man power is not needed to hold multiple districts.
The idea the CCP will expand into another region or more systems in molden heath by capturing is flawed, because it proves why ccp can't expand. It proves that if a force is strong enough it can easily take everything in a matter of two months.
A more efficient way to show we need more districts would be by having mass competition. Districts constantly flipping. When it becomes impossible to hold a district, due to so much competition in PC. What DNS is doing is flawed because it is showing how easy it can be for powerful alliances to hold all of what we currently have.
I personally wish there was more we could do with a district. I find it amazing what DNS has done. Using cooperation to maximize profits.Game theory.
I just find it flawed to ask for more districts while you are still in conquest of all off the current districts.

I had a good discussion with Eugene regarding this the other day. At first I though the same as the OP and didn't think there would be any benefit to more space. The thing is the current districts that one group can protect hasn't been maxed out. Make clone pack attacks better and open new space you will start a frenzy.
If corps in DNS try to expand to the new region as well they will reach a point of over extension and combined with effective clone packs you will see districts and maybe even whole systems fall. If corps in DNS are smart and don't over extend into new space then the door is then open for corps to enter Planetary Conquest in mass. Lastly, I think that a new region would add some much needed excitement to Dust. Just think all that went into District-Day when Molden Heath was opened up.

I can see this game becoming more like Eve, but who knows. I honestly think that ccp is just making things as they go lol.

My main concern is that if you build the game so that one alliance can't control a region, what the hell are we supposed to do further down the road when one alliance HAS to control a region in nullsec? |

The idea of holding a region shouldn't be frowned upon, but preaching for more districts because you are running out of space to make money is selfish.
I would love to have districts in null-sec. I hate having to fly from outer ring to molden heath.

You talk as if dust hasn't changed to wars between alliances. "Corps over extend " The wars fought in Dust are not Corp v. Corp. They are Alliances vs. Alliances. A Corp won't over extend it self because it will have more people to back it.
That is just my opinion though. It is how I saw GTA,PFV, and LOI work. I don't know how frequently DNS corps use alliance members between the corps during PC.
