TK the campers. There's nothing I hate more than a camper. I rather have a new AV player trying to destroy a blaster tank than a camping prototype boosting his K/D.

I won't stop Gal FW just because a Blaster thinks killing me for CRU kills is acceptable. I need those Gk.0's.
I would not attempt any hack on a CRU if there is any indication that doucheberries are seriously intent on camping it. Especially on ADV suits. |

If you can with the match more expediently by capping the CRU then do so..... if your hope rests in cloning then whatever must be done must be done.
That's not to say I am endorsing you guys or anyone really to go out there and 16 man spawn camp a CRU.... but its equally your enemies fault for spawning their in the first place, if they know hostiles are in their spawn zone.

I'd camp that ****. Why wouldn't you? Hacking equals 50 points then it's over. Camping gives potentially more WP. WP equals isk. If a red berry is stupid enough to spawn it's their own fault, plain and simple.

I agree with True in that if your only hope of winning is cloning out the opponent, then that makes sense.
If you team-kill blueberries who try to hack in order to continue farming easy kills though...... I don't know, what do you think?

That's not to say I do it either.... Magnus and anyone in PIE Inc knows I would rather blow the damn thing up than capture it....but I am not going to sit here and pretend like those who do is are simply douche bags because of it.....
Sure admittedly is a pretty ****** move.... but you are giving the enemy team the choice to spawn there....which should they take it they are punished for making a mistake.
After playing DKS 2 and DKS 1 again I remember the concept of punishing and punishment in terms of PvP well. It is a counter action that directly or heavily damages an opponent for making/ taking and action.
In the case of a fight I fought while posting this I had a perfect example of 2 punishes.
I went up against a greatshield turtle. The correct punish for me was Flame Swarthe behind him and to block his escape route, 1000 damage dealt.
He tried to heal/flask, a big no-no in duelling. The correct punish was my powerful sweeping power stance R2 attack which could out damage his heal.
In this case the correct punishment is a spawn camp, its a low blow but only pays off if the opponent is silly enough to spawn there. An equally acceptable punish to the campers is an OB or some other such powerful form of attack.

If its an actual objective, I'll let them have it because when all 4 are taken, it becomes very unpredictable as everyone scatters (I've seen matches turn due to this). A 3 v 1 objective set up is much more controllable environment for defense, also you don't spawn camp in this scenario you just take your trenches and keep them hiding in their defensive structure.
If we are clearly winning and not at all endangered of incurring a loss (meaning I have time and room for morality enforcement), and I catch people spawn camping a CRU, I'll hack it, whether I survive it or not is another story.

If we're camping the only spawn point on their team inside of the city, then i'll hack it to force them to regroup.
If we're camping a CRU 25 meters into the redline(it's possble) thej i'll just walk away, simple.
If we're camping 1/25 spawns for an enemy and they're stupid enough to keep spawning, then i'll keep camping.

Anyone seen GoT when Bron killed the knight for Tyrion's trial by combat and threw him down the hole. Lysa said "you don't fight with honor!" after Bron had stabbed the dude in the neck after some dirty tactics.
"No" he said, "He did" he finished as he pointed down the hole. Tactics like spawn camping always remind me of that scene lol. Is it honorable? Nope, but it's a tactic that aids victory. I don't mind such tricks,...it's only exploits I have an issue with.

I always try to hack any hackable object in the game when it's available and not protected by enemies.
If someone spawns while I'm havking the CRU they spawn on, I will target them before resuming the hack.
If the enemy team keeps spawning on the camped CRU and interrrupting my hack, that's their problem. If my teammates shoot me for trying to hack, they get reported for TKing and quickly removed from the battle, and that's their problem. |
