Granted that the adv ACR is better than the basic CR, I've been finding myself using the burst variants more since they do more damage per shot and I have a good trigger finger to keep the pace at similar rates to the ACR variants.

Is there anyone else that uses CR and has input on this?

Personally, I use the regular variant because it's cheaper (ya I'm a cheapo ^.^)

But in all honesty, it's a solid gun in the right hands, I've taken many heavies with the regular CR before they can fire at me with there HMG

Personally I use the assault CR. I just never touched the Burst IDK why.
I like the assault since it shoots faster but burns your ammo FAST!!!
I use it with a flux grenade since it is a great 1v1 heavy killer

 ACR is better under lag.
 CR is better without.

I personally use a scrambler pistol and the flux, but I generally rely on the scrambler pistol alone to remove shields.

One headshot and their out of shield and down some armor. Heavies might need another pop though.

Also from my short time in PC you hardly ever get the chance to pull out your side arm so it may be best if you just leave it out. But hey maybe Ark can't give some insight on this.

What you don't get, if you run out of ammo in your main weapon clip, is the chance to reload that weapon. Switching to the sidearm is very useful at times to finish a 1v1.

The breach scrambler pistol pops shields with one headshot. I use it to finish heavies and caldari afterward with the Combat Rifle. It's very effective.

With the recent lag pertaining to the servers lately I would definitely say to run the Assault Combat Rifle. Not to mention that the Assault Combat Rifle has a high damage output.

As someone had previously stated when there isn't any lag the Burst Combat Rifle is a lot better than the latter. Then again it could vary depending on the person's preference.

I run the burst CR where ever possible. I find it much more effective for both accuracy and ammo conservation. The only time I run the assault is when I need to reduce on fittings, or when I'm setting up a close quarters (assault) fit.

I like the Assault variant because of the fully automatic and it does some good damage

This is my mindset as well. I feel like if I run a full auto I burn through my ammo way too fast. I also seem to notice better accuracy because the rifle isn't climbing so much when I'm bursting v. laying on the trigger.

Where I differ is I rarely run a full auto, even for CQC. With a quick trigger finger on that R1, the Burst CR is basically a full auto anyways.

If money isn't an issue and you have logis or nanohives run the assault. Even though the same tier burst has more DPS it's actual full DPS isn't achievable. The assaults handle much better in CQC and are easier to aim with down range in my opinion as you're spending less time keeping the rhythm going and more keeping on target and aiming for the head.
