What happen in 1.8 to them. They seem to take a ton of damage from a tiny bump. Before I could have a hard landing and only take like 400 shields but now it takes like 2000. Also, they seem a bit bulkier than 1.7.... (python) |

Personally I think it encourages skillful play, ADS is good where it is right now, any better and it would be borderline OP.
Also, if you're taking a lot of damage from landing hard, a trick I learned is to make sure if you're coming in for a fast landing, land butt first, you'll take a lot less damage

im ok with it. most ive taken is 700 damage to my mlt dropship...learn to land more skillfully.once u have mastered the art of landing u will no longer take damage..
though i can see why some pilots need hardeners when flying their dropships. they are very horrible at not bumping into stuff.. im surprised they manage to live through it. any un hardened dropship would have died after the first bump.
mlt vets are eternal. they shall be the bane to proto scrubs everywhere...

I'm not a pilot but I've tried to shoot down many ADS with swarms to no avail....
So what your saying is my missile launcher designed to blow stuff up deals less damage than bumping buildings... Well done ccp. Well done. |

So first we pay 500k isk for this thing which is blown up by practically everything, then I have to use immense skill to use it and on top of that I have to try to not crash after a forgegun shot/ militia swarm almost knocks me out of orbit. How is that even freking balanced. Also on top of all that it costs like freaking 5 million sp. |

What iv found is more more ship ramming happening in 1.8. Hard landings and bumping a building hurt but a ramming dropship only needs to tap you and its bye to your 500k Ads Ads. So we had redline rails to rage about now we have jihad dropships lol.
Defeat dose not exist to them that are willing.

I have been flying since chromosome. I think I know what I'm doing. Im just saying that it takes a lot more damage now. (mostly shield vehicles suck right now) |

I was being a **** one day and rammed a python someone called in at ground spawn with my lav.....it exploded...I rammed a gorgon and it didn't explode...shield dropships are wimpy |

Also, perhaps you shouldn't be taking hard landings?

you're such a scrub. Av does not cost 12 million SP, I have proto Ishukone FG on Sir Dukey and it does fine killing everything and only proficiency level 2 with militia Cladari Heavy. I can kill any tank/ dropship on the field with this thing except for armor repping tanks with 500 armor rep per second. Anyway, it takes 10x the skill to kill with a dropship than it does to lock on with a swarm or aim with a aim assisted forgegun. I would also like to add that it is so easy to lost a 500k isk assault dropship is that all you have to do is get hit by a lav before take off, get hit by MCC missiles, get hit by null cannons, get killed by RDV's. |

perhaps it was fine in 1.7 and it didn't need changing. Perhaps scrubs like you complained too much and got everything that required skill nerfed... ( pythons/ incubi. ) |
