Alright so I've been thinking about the idea of a no vehicle ambush over and here's my little idea.
We either open up a new mode or simply edit the plain ambush mode.
So in this new ambush, there is no vehicles at all, it's strict infantry v infantry fighting. Ccp would limit the map to an isolated section of the already existing maps (ie. the central compound on Iron delta for example) or, for variation, they can set it up so that one team spawns outside of the compound and the other inside and, this can set up a .siege" type gameplay. Another idea would be to limit it to some of the smaller sockets on a map (examples below)
Winning conditions remain the same, terminate all the enemies clones
Example time!!!!
So I load into a match with this setup Picture 1
I spawn in on the blue dot
I look down the road towards the compound to see some reds running out of the gates (represented by red dot)
Match goes on without vehicles until team A or B wins.

Example 2- battle in smaller sockets
I load into a match setup like this (again, I'm the blue dot, reds are the orange/red dot): Picture 2
Match continues until one of the teams wins (again no vehicles)
DISCLAIMER: this is just an idea, I personally would prefer this game mode over the current ambush but I know others would prefer to keep there vehicles with ambush so that's why I would prefer to simply add this game mode.

I see the potential for spawn camping in this game mode. How will this be prevented? Extending the redline to the enemy side will probably not leave much room to fight in. Other than that, any new game modes would be good for this game. |
