Happens to me everytime I load into the game, I'm gimped a bunch of HP. It comes back after around 30 seconds but by then I'm already engaged in combat. When is the plan to fix this? Telling me to wait a few seconds and it will come back is a load of ****, this should be something easy to hotfix.

needs to be fixed
upon spawning like this you have zero passives/core skills working
so your spawning in on an uplink into the middle of a battle (you have zero passives/core)
also if you fit dual militia scanners on a lav or run dual adv scans on a scout you can keep scanning everyone from scout - heavy while this glitch is present
it also makes a scout very good at camping uplinks/cru's (complete BS) the red chevron pops above their head even if they are a proto damped scout.

I hate to break it to you but it's not just HP it's all passive skill bonuses. My commando alt loses 25% reload speed and 10% damage- I can tell because I always cancel the reload too soon without the skill bonus.

It would be an easy fix if CCP could find the problem. It is common knowledge that my cat could code better than CCP so I have full confidence when I say that we could be dealing with this bug for a while yet, most of the CCP programmers seem to have learned to code from using Vtech children's computers. And yes, I am a programmer so I can pass judgement on CCPs failures. If I was that crap at my job then I would be looking for a new job in short order. I bet CCP will be the ones who build that really advanced AI that is meant to protect and save humankind but ends up turning on us and wiping us all out (Skynet).
They have already begun work on this and the early prototype is known as Dust 514, playing the game slowly kills you from the inside out but is has a limited influence as people just turn off the program.

The health sucks... But everything isn't loading... Your skills, The Bonuses from thee suits or weapons...
So a Heavy spawns in and doesnt have a explosion resistance and get's owned by a grenade...
Or your Minmatar and your clips all have a stock amount of bullets until stuff loads in...
The healthpoints missing at the start... Don't really bother a Heavy player.. because those healthpoints are nothing really u barely see the sliver of health missing.
But for a Scout with limited health? That is the difference between life and death in almost anything...
It's just one of those things that proves CCP does no bug testing or general testing after grinding code.... They see if the game turns on and doesnt crash... Dust off their hands and say "DONE" And the community gets an obvious bug to deal with for a month....
Without even CCP acknowledging it as a problem.... Maybe if you sift through their forum posts you might find mention of it. |

I suppose for a few seconds the new players have the same passives as we do until our level 5's kick in.
Hurry up and fix it. With spawns the way they are I need my passives and hp. |

It's quite amusing, I can feel the speed increase the moment the skills activate.
It feels like "WARP DRIVE, ACTIVE"
My intentions is to have a fun game for everyone.
If I seem to be biased, I have good hard data to back it up.

Well, now I know why I got spotted constantly when spawning around the objective in my dampened Gallente scout in a Dom match last night. I'd spawn in and run behind people to clip them with the shotgun, yet it was complete BS that people kept turning around and seeing me constantly.
This is the kind of bull **** that there is no excuse for as to why it isn't fixed already. It's not just some currently broken mechanic in a vehicle or a specific gun. It is game-wide across all suits.
Always the last person to leave. Always the one cleaning up people's messes.

doesnt really bother a heavy? I spawn in with hundreds of hp missing, and i run amarr sentinel, the anti heavy heavy, so it makes the difference between life and death fighting other heavies all the time for me. also, its screws me over when i get my aFG out because now that won't fire either
Dedicated heavy through the hard times, still supporter of A FULL 1.8 respec and MOAR HEAVY WEAPONS!

I only studied programming for two years myself, and that was a couple of years ago, but still I have to agree.
Even a scrub programmer like me can recognize the poor software design and the obvious cases of superflous scrapcode in Dust 514.
I'd honestly propose to rebuild the entire game from scratch but with a smarter design that facilitates hotfixes and adding new content. But I fear that would only worsen the "Soon TM" statements. |

It will only benefit CCP the Corporation as a whole if the engine can be optimized to facilitate DUST on the PS3 and the PS4 in the future. Further Cutting out the royalties being paid to Unreal Engine 3... And optimizing it for what is needed from it.
And Further The World Of Darkness Project CCP has been working on for a decade. Also the starting place of the Carbon engine.
Side note EVE's Merc quarters, Character creation and ship hangers is running off the Carbon engine.

Why did they ditch the Carbon engine? The game seems to have regressed instead of progressed on Unreal 3! I know the demos only show a very small portion of one map but the game looks more polished and seems to have had more cool features on Carbon, we don't have underbarrel grenade launchers, fighters, commanders, or the ability to move out of our merc quarters. It seems to me like Unreal 3 really messed this game up. |

Plus, pretty much every game this generation ran off Unreal 3. I remember the "good old days" when every new game basically meant a scratchbuilt engine to go with it. Sure, far from all of them were great, but it prompted original thinking and new programming solutions. Unlike the current generation where basically every game is based on UE3, Frostbite, Havok etc. And just by looking at a game you can pretty much spot which engine it is after a few seconds. |

A gal scout with two complex dampeners is completely invisible to a Cal scout even with that Cal scout having 4 complex precision enhancers. You think that's balanced?
Get rid of the built in 25% that comes with cloaking and raise complex precision enhancers to 25% to keep up with dampeners. |

I still have that sliver of hope in the back of mind that the reason CCP are so slow to fix things and give us new content is because secretly, most of the dev-team is working on a PS4 version. Am I delusional? Probably, but we have to keep some tiny bit of hope for this game or else we may as well stop playing it now |
