A corpmate of mine has spent an eyewatering sum in Dust 514 on all manner of booster and aurum gear, However upon logging in last weekend to find himself at close to -200,000Aur and all his boosters removed. He is more than a little confused and upset.
I told him to do what I'd tell anyone to do, file a petition.
It has been almost a week and no reply, is this usually the case with other people having problems like this?

Almost a week and no reply is fairly common for support tickets. Not "normal" in the sense that it always happens, but it does happen often enough that it's not something to be overly surprised by.
There isn't a specified turnaround time on them, so there's no obligation for CCP to respond immediately, but they will work on it when they can.
Could be worse, you could be trying to contact Ubisoft Support. |

I was trying to as unspecific as possible but more just trying to try and get anybody with a previous experience of aur issues being sorted out to weigh in on this.
Any petition I've filled in has usually been looked at sooner than this, and they were for pretty menial things :S

Regarding RMT, I did ask him those questions along with 'This was your money in the first place right?'
I chose to believe him saying it was all legitimately purchased gear. He has nothing to gain from lying to me and I'd rather not seemy bud leave Dust because of external factors!

As far as I know, no. He has only purchased Aurum packs.

Have him try a support forum. Doesn't sound like CCP to me. Every time I have contacted them they were fairly quick to respond. Even when I attempted to buy 1 million aurum at a discounted rate, they responded within 24 hours with a well thought out, "no"..lol

There are only 3 possible reasons for a negative anything...... 1. Your friend is lying/joking to gain sympathy/isk (is he needy?) 2. A drunk dev stole all of it 3. Not following the rules!
Im betting on #2. Can't trust them sneaky devs.

Negative Aurum and boosters gone means they used a stolen credit card. Put the dots together. Someone claimed the charge was fraudulent, credit card company back charged CCP. CCP then took back the stolen good also known as aurum. Tell me I am wrong. |

Anything that involves money, especially aurum in this case, will take a long while to resolve because CCP needs to take the time to asses and review all transaction records to trace what happened.
That and likely CCP may be flooded with too many petitions that it's causing delays.

Well, I don't quite know what to tell you with that one. Having sunk over 1m AUR into this game, I did have a negative AUR situation once, but it wasn't -200,000. I had -80 one time of which I have no idea where it came from, but a few days later it just disappeared.
