I had been observing the qqs ever since 1.8 was released, so i think i would like to hv a sat regarding some things.
the biggest qq so far was regarding the cloaks. now i know there are thopse who are for and against such a puceliar device. to be honest there are alot of things to consider before a valid conclusion is made. based on what people have said, thrre is an issue regarding one being able to fire a few shots before tje person decloaks. this is obviously a bug and im sure that issue will be resolved. now for all the complaints i had been hearing im just curious to know if people have played games that allowed the use of a cloak such as halo, avp, crysis, and a few others. if so, have they stopped playing those games because it was op? Or were they use to it that they know that dust may be no different and they may find ways to dispose of those scouts. now i can see how dangerous a shotgun and cloak combo can be, especially since people seem to take advantage of it and thus further dwindling the nova knifer populatiom, but it can be dealt with since they can be seen when running aroung. now i cannot say if i really buy into thos eyes are op excuse because it could be brcause people may have better tv screens while some have small crappy tv. still thats up for discussion.
oh and cotsy, i am well aware that you are highly against this cloaking device. but i see no issue fom it aside from the obvious bugs. i dont know if its because you had a horrible experience with them since this msy take some time to adapt and leaving you butthury, bit bear in mind that even with cloaks, scouts still try to flank their foes and this thing helps in doing so. I know you think its a crutch and it coild be to the shotgun/cloak combo, but the excuse of rewarding poor decisions is not good enough, considering the definition of a cloaking device. also i higjly doubt ccp will remove the equipment fom the game. this does not mean that i dislike a nerf. i am fine with it as long as they do not overdo it. there was a recent thtead saying that scouts are the ultimate force i the battlefield. i highly digress, especially before scouts got the attentiom, tanks had the most complaints due to variois reasons and they still cause trouble on the bsttlefield even today due to apparent lack of av firepower except coordinated attacks inbolving REs or forge guns.
I mean maybe cloaks was the first equipment they had done right since alot of things have been nerfed to uselessness like maybe equopment so we cant know for sure
btw, knives arw a real mans weapons, not shotguns lol no offense scoutbrotherz.
