What if prototype gear wasn't just better than standard or advanced but offered something different?
You like the damage that a Kaalakiota rail rifle offers? Enjoy having less total ammo!
This can already be seen in assault variants, like sacrificing damage and range for better rate of fire, perhaps prototype could have a downside?
Or is this what tiericide is all about? |

-1 Its has one already its to expensive. If you have a problem with protostomping in pubs support one of the many ports that demand access to PC for all protofittings players. |

If you want to see if proto gear has a downside, then run nothing but proto gear...be warned though, there is no declaring bankruptcy or collecting welfare in Dust... |

Lol what? Prototype is not too expensive and it never will be. For the people and corps (me and mine included) that can run proto for as long as they've been playing the game twice over (I've been here since closed beta) then it's no even close to being expensive.
It costs a lot more than basic or standard sure, but that little downside is nothing.
And FYI, I don't have too much of an issue personally with protostompers, just gear. Prototype is just better in every way. It would add some diversity if it wasn't always just better, but offered a different solution. |

Proto gear, is also much more difficult to fit (ie: has higher fitting requirements) |

Prototype everything (including suits) is just all around better than basic, what I'm saying is that it should offer advantages, but not just as simple as GÇ£straight up, hands down betterGÇ¥. |
