so i just had a quick convo in IRC about corp battles, since i was listening to EVE-radio about them talking about eve.
now i know that everyone misses corp battles and i was thinking what if we made it "special" public contract for corps that get organized about it by:
1. looking for an NPC industry/corp that has a contract
2. the corp hiring you would have a cheap collateral anywhere from 1k to 2mill
3. que up your corp members for the battle while it is still joinable
4. wait for an enemy team to be hired by the other NPC corp/industry that is attacking/defending
5. whoever wins or loses wins double the amount of isk you would normally get for a pub match but not as much as you get in PC.
i was thinking there would be 2 types of contracts for it.
one having a 16v16 skirmish game mode and another having 8v8 ambush mode.
also the battles and maps would depend on where you are in and which factional NPC corp you are fighting for.
and if you have the support, EVE players can provide orbitals if they are in the area, provided that they get paid with either LP or a good amount of isk since its not FW, probably like 1-5 mill per kill or something else rewarding.
this seems like a good idea and i want you guys to discuss

I always thought that they could take away Molden Heath hisec districts from Pub Battles and corps would use those districts as if they were booking battles. Find a district, start a battle, wait for opponent and go. Requirements and restrictions could be discussed, like prices to pay and how many each corp could book at any time.

what about if you could do raids on an enemy district
- only 1 squad attacks
- limited clones for attackers (20 - 25)
-attackers buy their own clones
-defenders get 10 minute warning (could be based on security level, 10 mins for 1.0 - 1 min for 0.1)
-defenders get as many clones as they have available on district
-defenders get full 16 players
- defenders own all district assets
- successful attack gives salvage like pc, plus isk stolen from district (no clones are taken)
games could be domination where attackers hack the point for isk for private use
just an idea for something different |

Or just bring back corp battles. Honestly, I like the idea, but it's best to keep things simple.

I like that. Team of Corp A puts up a contract for 10mil ISK, Corp B puts up a contract for 30mil ISK, etc. etc... Corp Z goes through the list, picks one they like and fronts the same amount of cash.
