A month ago there were quite a few job openings with CCP Shanghai. Most notable of those, were an AI Programmer and Game Designer, both of which have been filled, apparently. With only three openings left, I'm curious as to when (and if) we'll get to hear from these new developers on the forums.
I kinda want to get my hopes up and be optimistic but... I dunno. My brain is telling my heart that it's a trap  Sarcasm aside, this is some pretty good news, at least.

FanFest probably. I am guessing as a: "We would like to welcome CCP BladdityBlah into our company. Their past experiences has been very useful in working with AI for other games. The reason they are here, of course... is to announce a new feature coming to DUST 514."
CCP BladdityBlah: "I didn't think Guard would actually make me get on stage. Well, it has been built up so I can announce what we have been feverishly working on. PvE Drones will soon be attacking planets that you DUST mercs have been fighting for. Go clean 'em out!"

Probably a long way off, fair warning. They just filled the position, after all. Dude probably hasn't even finished moving to China.

Maybe they will have some kind of rudimentary PvE system that was partially complete from before 1.0? Maybe it will be the "survival" mode that was teased. Nothing terribly complicated. Just something to wet our tastebuds while the new dev(s) create the rest of the PvE content...
