Caldari Missile Launcher (Needs a name)
It is a light AI tactical rifle, that fires in single shot, low rof high damage rounds. Holding the fire button fires 3 rounds at once but with very high kick.
Stats: Damage: 70 Splash radius: .5 Splash damage: 35 Rof:278 DPS: 325 Clip: 25 Reload: 3.25 seconds Range: 60 meters Profile: 80/120
Gallente combat drone
It is a deployable self controlled equipment. Once deployed they do not return and hover around the player. They are destructible and have low HP. Flux grenades disables them for 5 seconds. Reactivating the equipment allows commands to be given like changing it's combat stance to aggresive, guardian, or passive (default). Aggresive stance will attack any enemy target within 25 meters, guardian will attack any target that hits you within 25 meters, passive will attack any target you engage within any range but it will not fire until 25 meters. Once engaged it hovers around the target making it difficult to kill, killing the user kills the drone interface and thus disables the drone.
Stats: HP: 200 Damage: 25 Rof: 120 DPS: 50 Range: 25m movement speed: 12 m/s Profile: 90/110

I don't know about a missile rifle, but I really like the idea for a drone. Maybe cut out the options for different stances though? I would like if you re-selected the drone it would give you a targeting thing like for squad orders. Whatever you targeted, the drone would follow, protect, or attack based on what it was. |

The rifle has low DPS as a trade off for high alpha damage, splash damage, and long range. As for the drones I thought up of the simplest and easiest way to allow control since lore states fully AI drones = bad.
Keep in mind those stats are for a basic variant not proto.

Umm... correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Caldari already have a light missile weapon in the form of the swarm launcher? Why would they need yet another light weapon that fires missiles, and what purpose would this fill when the Minmatar have already introduced the mass driver into the fray that not only does more damage then your weapon idea, but has a better splash radius to?

Allow for the Caldari and Gallente to have their weapons of preference that are not stuck into niche roles. The mass driver is a grenade launcher this is a rifle it's suffer from no bullet drop and it makes for a good tactical and suppressive weapon.
As for why I want these is so the Gallente and Caldari aren't stuck using weapons that don't even fit their profile in EVE. The Gallente use hybrid and drones, the Caldari use rails and missiles.

ok Rocket rifle would be interesting, but do we really need it is the question what combat role would this serve. The drone would be more like a vehicle AND a nuisance oh hurray another thing that bobs around me shooting me as if scouts were not bad enough. But this would be a good addition but make 4 different ones with different types of weapons they could use.Give each race one Amarr gets a slow one with a heavy weapon Gallente and Caldari Get Light Weapons that are faster and Minmatar Get a fast one with a sidearm.

I suggested reintroducing this capability to the swarm launcher here a separate weapon isn't needed.

Solid suggestions. A missile rifle would be fun for cloaky hit and run attacks.
As far as drone interface goes, It might be simpler to have them set with one mode. After initial deployment switching to that equipment slot would bring out a designator that you can use to set orders for the drone such as guard area, attack target, guard friendly, etc.
There also needs to be a drone variant with no weapon, but higher armor and a rep tool. My gallente commando requires it.
Gal-mando. Because the best sidearm is a shotgun.

drones should be built like a dropsuit or vehicle(but function of vehicle skills) they should be called in with a beacon(equipment) you should be able to manually select role (offensive, defensive , or support) manually select targets, or place to attack/defend
the roles offensive attacks all enemies within its scanner range defensive only attacks enemies within half of its range or enemies that you have fired at or enemies that have fired at you support uses equipment and only returns fire when you're over 70% health
the drones a.i. stops when you die, and will attempt to return to you when you respawn
It'll help define roles, i promise:)

You overestimate the size of the drones it would be tiny about twice the size of a locus grenade. If I get enough feedback I will draw up some concept art for both.

It seems like it wont deal enough damage for a weapon with such a low RoF and difficulty to use because of actual travel time. I think giving it 140 base damage would be a start.
But in all honesty, I think the swarm launcher just needs its dumbfire back and there, you also have a light missile weapon that can be used against infantry. It's splash radius and damage won't do anything, and with all of these brick tanked suits running around, you'd have to be lucky to have all four+ missiles to hit and kill someone with one volley.
