Is the day when we have to pay 2 million ISK for a single dropsuit. If on fanfest open markets between eve-dust are going to happend you better be prepared and buy as much you can before they drop the patch. Or have a lineup of BPO's ready you are going to need them.

Do you really think they are going to let that happen? Without at least inflating our isk to match, or some other limiting factor put in place. |

Source or it didn't happen. I have a ton of neo scout gk.0s left, black eagles, Quafes, and a whole lot of other stuff so I don't worry much. |

Ya know how much eve players charge for new stuff when it hit playermarkets for the first time? Around 10~20 times as much as its actually worth.

It's the day I put 22 lines of shuddered EVE industrial might to my disposal.
CCP you better nail 1.8, as it stands 1.7 is a total disaster.

It would be best to open the Dust market first and then think about merging the economies and manufacturing.
I agree though that, if Dust does not have its on manufacturing component, the market can be completely dominated by EVE players. Markets do not work when you have a balance between the two. If Dust were a complete consumer market without being able to sell things to EVE players then it would be exactly as you say and could lead to significant price increases and gouging.
To have a merged economy work, there needs to be two things - Dust mercs need to have the ability to manufacture their own equipment as a balance to EVE. EVE might be able to do it faster or cheaper but this would at least be able to balance the prices. - Dust needs to be able to create something that EVE pilots want/need so that it is not a one way funnel of ISK

I already have a massive stockpile of salvage in eve. Just waiting to be able to start producing my own suits.

Presumably the NPC market would still exist.
I can't see them introducing industry without some kind of control and hard cap, that just wouldn't make sense.
Oh wait.

EVE players hate each other more than their love for capital. The prices will be high at first. But after a month everything will be dirt cheap.

I'll bet the guys at PIE will be hard on the case at making affordable Amarrian Gear for those that use Amarrian gear.
Suits and weapons will undoubtedly be produced in huge batches at a time. The only issue will be that they will probably use some of the most expensive materials.

As long as CCP does a lot of work to make sure that its balanced between the two systems, I am fine with it. Lets just hope that they spend more time examining this than they do with their normal patch QC efforts as far as bugs and balancing.
