Btw Dergle, the range is higher on gal and amarr suits, but precision is highest on cal. You would be able to pick up any scout no matter what. As you wouldn't need to take any protection on your suit. That's four precision mods. We shouldn't be talking about this though. Maybe they would nerf bat it. Idk, I need to see where clowns are on the ground because not much renders at my new engagement range while I perform apache circles around my targets. Cal scout with 2x range amps and 4x precision amps would have been insanely overpowered.

If you are inside a vehicle, the vehicle overwrites your scanning data with its own, it doesn't matter if you're a passenger or the driver or even if you're exposed like you would be in the side or back of an LAV, you get the vehicles scanning information.

A proto Caldari Scout with 4 CPX precision mods wouldn't be able to scan out a proto Gallente Scout with 1 CPX and 1 ENH Dampner if I remember correctly. Could be wrong, though.

The nose spotlight does pick up every suit in the game, but you have to be pretty close, and then you already can see them so a little red chevron doesn't really help too much. With current AV and ADS mechanics we really need a better way to see ground targets (for the best protection you need to constantly be moving). No one rocks a scanner these days, and there is no space on an ADS to take one (python). The python is really a dedicated air to ground platform, so what gives? As the precision is 50, everyone in the game wearing a medium suit or smaller with profile dampening level 1 can duck my ships passive! That's less than 20k sp to turn invisible from peripheral view! In time, most people will have at least skilled it to level one, so wtf am I suppose to do? Why even have passive scans on a vehicle? Or just release pilot suits that can augment your vehicles stats... So back to a heavy pilot suit as it is clearly the way to pack an advantage. Boosting passive suit range wasn't too OP I thought, as I would have zero survivability outside of my ship, and I do have to get out from time to time.
