GǪover every other kind of tank.

-They are excellent at AV as blasters aren't nearly as effective considering DPS and range and missiles are completely walled by shield tanks (and what scrub drives anything but a rail Sica + Damage Mod + Hardener?).

-They are the easiest turrets to fit, meaning more defensive and/or offensive mods.

-Even a fully MLT fit Sica can pretty much kill any other tank before overheating.

-Infantry aren't too hard to hit if you actually have aim.

Seriously, why bother with any other turret? I think that, due to the HUGE nerf to hardeners (each reduced by 33-45%), rails need at least a 20% reduction to damage (MLT/STD: 1160, ADV: 1333, PRO: 1500) and damage mods reduced to at most 20%.

There's a huge problem with that.

EDIT: I think much higher fitting costs would also be a good way to balance them. Prevent them from being able to brawl unclose and keep them at a distance.

I can't find a reason to run one. Tank vs Tank is far to easy for me with Rails.

I'm sticking to Missiles and Blasters. Missiles are a lot of fun and a real challenge to work well and Blasters.....well they are pretty good at eating away tank armour and shield when coupled with small missile and Railgun turrets.

If you want those high kill scores, you need to run a blaster because it is without a doubt the very best anti-infantry weapon. Plus you can kill them out to 200M, which is only -100 M from the railgun's range.

The problem is, once you start doing good, any old average joe can call in a Sica w/ damage mods/hardener/whatever and KO you, no matter what fit you're in. I'd rather score low and not lose a tank than get ganked every time by some scrub with a MLT rail. (Besides, with the new vehicle damage points, you could possible score more with a rail than blaster).
