Really, cos.... I remember it pretty clearly.
Not only were there a lot of people asking for the OPTION (not forced like CCP did) of ironsights, but when we got them, everyone said "we asked for iron sights, WTF IS THIS?" because the initial implementation was so bad you could barely call them sights.
EDIT: Also, a lot of people asking for ironsights hadn't been - they said "even ironsights would be better than this" in the hope of getting a more familiar-feeling "improved" scope for the AR. When the update was released, many of them retracted their comments because of how bad the ironsights were, with responses along the lines of "ok, PROPER ironsights would be better than what we had. WTF CCP?"
To be fair though, the current ironsights are MUCH better than the original version we got back then. |

The QQ was about the zoom function lowering your crosshairs slightly, meaning you had to adjust upward after going into "aim-down-sights" in order to hit your target.
This was somehow interpreted by CCP as us wanting those scopes scrapped entirely and replaced with ironsights.

Ever wonder how nanohive's nanites magically become the munitions for your weapons; nanites becoming plasma, gunpowder, battery fluid? The only way this is possible is if nano-hives stores these materials or alchemy. And nanohives don't look like they could store the required energy for alchemy.
I'm pretty sure the nanites basically 3D-print whatever you need rather than magically turning into that thing.
