Moderately higher ROF,magazine size and range. Every weapon (almost,don't list them) has an assault variant. Before you say "but the standard variant is the assault variant",no it isn't. Look at the SMG or the RR,they have standard rapid fire variants AND faster ROF assault variants. So,why isn't there an assault variant again? Breach is to mimic Caldari's Rail Rifle, Tactical mimics Amarr's Scrambler Rifle, and the Burst mimics Minmatar's Combat Rifle. Just CCP really doesn't like Gallente. "Go ahead and dual tank. No every version of the Assault rifle has had thousands of threads made on how OP it was... Every version of the assault rifle has been nerfed... From cool scopes, to damage, to dispersion.. To range... To recoil.. Seriously there isn't anything about any of the assault rifles that hasn't been touched at least 5 tiimesss... The Assault rifle is Victim TO the Endless NOOBS WHO DONT KNOW SH!T BUT HAVE BIG OPINIONS BASED ON NO INFORMATION.

It would be much nicer to have starter fits that corresponde to your race. But no, everyone starts out with the AR. I was AR prof 3 before i even thought about a different light weapon.
