I hope that by broken, you mean too much damage, too high of a RoF, and too low of a heat cost?

they diddnt admit the railgun rendering range was broken for the 8 months it took to fix it, and they havnt awknowledged any of the railgun bugs that have plauged the weapon since closed beta....
so no, and they wont. |

I don't know, but I hope they acknowledge that the 50% range reduction was just the beginning of nerfing this beast of a weapon.
Good post though, CCP needs to know what's up.

Also, has their damage profile even been corrected yet? It annoys me even more that they are bonused against shield instead of armor.

I'm not talking about the nerfs that it rightfully so deserves, I am talking about the numerous bugs it has had for over a year. And since infantry QQ about FG paid of with exactly the same kind of topic, I thought maybe, just maybe, it would work for vehicles too... what do you know? It didn't, lol, can't say that I'm surprised.

Numerous bugs?
The only bug I can think of is the firing bug where the turret won't fire sometimes if you fire immediately after activating a module. That bug affects all large turrets though, not just Railguns, but it does happen more often with Railguns than the other turrets in my experience.
What other bugs are you talking about?

Wait hes complaining about RR's being Bugged! NOT about nerfing them!?! Joking me right?..join the rest of us with 90% of the other bugs and stop whining about a gun that still is better then anything else out there right now...good lord kids!
What is the use of fighting if you haven't got a tolerable planet to fight over?

From the top of my head I can say the ghostfire bug where it looks like you are shooting (just like the Forge Gun I hear) and but you are not consuming ammo nor hitting anything, this will persist as long as you either let it completely cool down and switch views or get out and back in. Also from the top of my head the bug where the Railgun will simply empty the whole clip on it's own without overheating or actually hitting anything (will show firing animation to everyone but impacts only to you). Only way to stop this that I can think of is reloading (will still consume ammo while reloading, but if you are quick enough you wont waste all of your clip) and getting out and back in.

I Believe they call that Lag? lol j/k ive seen it do that yes, but still happening to alot of weapons also where u glitch and hafta leave the sight or switch weapons. As a logi i also hate the bug where my equipment doesnt fully show up and i have 1 nanohive instead of my 3 different equipments showing..super anoying, i hafta log out of the entire game to fix that one.

As a person who uses most of those weapons, no, it doesn't happen to any other weapon.

Or because Rail Rifles are totally not a primary weapon for any infantry who use them.
The thread title used the nonspecific term "RAIL gun" rather than typing "Railgun" as a single word, suggesting it was one of those two, but not defining which. It's plausible that the phrase could be referring to any rail-based ranged weapon, which means the Magsec, Sniper Rifle and even your precious Forge Gun might be what the OP was referring to. |

The same thing happens to railguns quite frequently. Somtimes the trigger doesn't work, reloading gets bugged so the load cycle stops and makes it impossible to fire.
And after these latest updates I've encountered several occasions where the railgun fires dead on (at another tank mind you and not infantry that you could miss), but the hits doesn't register at all. But somehow the enemy tank is capable of firing back and do damage. I've lost several tanks these past few days due to such instances.
The railgun is bugged to the point of being unreliable, and it needs to be fixed. |

Nope, they want us to keep losing 660,000ISK Particle Cannon HAVs to SIcas w/ Militia Railguns for as long as possible...
I mean, who's to say that a gun should fire every time you pull the trigger, yet only not fire when shooting another tank?
