Reduce spawn time for the Assault class so that they can keep "Assaulting" an objective or strengthen an encampment.
Strategic zerging would have the risk of losing a lot of clones for unsuccessful operations / futile defenses.
What would be a reasonable percentage? 50% was suggested in another thread.
Apologies if this has been suggested before, I got the idea from watching a PC match.
Because beer, that's why.

What about the Amarr Logi bonus to uplinks?
Assaults pouring out of Imperial Viziam Uplinks on a 1.5 second timer?

If only we could make Skirmish like Domination, where you can't spawn on the letters, I would wholly support this. But not until then.

It means that players that die all the time are getting a benefit while players that don't die are not getting ANY benefit. Plus where are most uplinks thrown down? Near Supply Depots. Come in as "Assault McSpawn", swap over to "Logi McKill" immediately.
It is a really interesting idea and it is clever but my concern is just that it will be used by those that die a lot but not used at all by those that don't die. A bonus that will be used all the time by some of the players and NEVER by some of the players is not a great bonus. Imagine if cloaks took the only equipment slot that Scouts had. You would have many scouts not using them at all because they preferred Remote Explosives, Ammo, or Uplinks. That is why the equipment slot was added; so Scouts could use it.
Secondly, the bonus is completely not helpful when I am alive. Every other bonus in some ways help you not die. More CPU/PG by reducing the cost of equipment/weapons/cloaks means that the players can fit better stuff to not die or be helpful while alive. Sentinel gets bonuses to not die by reducing damage by a metric ton. Commando keeps himself alive by killing people. Assault bonus is only useful when dead...

I like the idea, but with a slight tweak. Make it an assault suit variant, like maybe a Spec Ops Assault or something, with a reduced spawn time. That way other ppl get the assault bonuses they are looking for too. A non blanket change is more likely to be accepted.

While this is interesting, I donGÇÖt particularly like it. ItGÇÖs a very situational bonus that requires me to die to ever make use of. I would much rather keep the bonus to CPU/PG consumption of my weapons than a spawn time modifier. CPU/PG reduction helps me with all my suits, it makes them marginally better, but this bonus offers none of that.
Assaults need better bonuses and their slots/stats looked at, I agree, but it should be a bonus that makes you a better assault not the best cannon fodder.
Now, if you were to suggest different classes/races should have different (built-in) spawn modifiers I would agree and support this. This could be handled the same as hacking speed, some get a bonus and some do not.
