Armor reps should be active modules, not passive. There are no "waves of opportunity" for a triple rep Madrugar. Make them active and you got waves of opportunity.
Shield tanks should have the shield recharge be comparable to current armor tank passive repair. In other words, the shield recharges constantly uninterrupted. The low HP ceiling of shield balances this because it will not handle well under high alpha. This it will rely on shield hardeners which provide windows of opportunity.
Also, give us low slot modules that increase shield recharge rate at a cost of decreasing our shield. High slot shield rechargers should come with no penalty.

Great Idea. Maddies have too much base HP to let them get away with having that much health being restored every second.
Gal-mando. Because the best sidearm is a shotgun.

I believe reps that at the moment reps don't work wile under fire. If thats not the case it the best way to balance the repairs on hevicles.
Dose anyone know if thats the case now? |

Reps DO still work while under fire. I was shooting a maddy yesterday, and he was repping almost as much as I was hitting him for. |

If we can get gunnies with uninterrupted regen, I will be so happy.
Best PVE idea I've seen.

Armor reps work under fire, but the incoming damage reduces the rep by the damage amount. So 100 damage would cancel out 100 rep.
Best PVE idea I've seen.

Yes you are right i tried it out. I was shooting on a Madrugar with multiple reps with a advanced railgun (1000+ damage) the only think he need to do was to move for 1 sec out of fire to get a great amount of HP and my shoots where under 1000 damage.
I believe the best solution is a mechanic like the one in the Dropsuite repairs. Workin after a delay and not while under fire. But they should stay passive. To many active modules are killing the gameplay with the controller.
CCP any opinion on that? or a update of your if that was intended. |

The amount of repair is the problem, not the fact that it repairs constantly. You don't complain that a heavy is repping 10hp/s when your gun out-damages it by such a large margin. If they halved the armor rep on tanks, they still get their repair, but, it would make it so they need to leave faster, or be blown up. AV mission complete: hostile hardware removed! |

Even still, the waves of opportunity philosophy is thrown out the window when you have passive armor reps and a nerfed hardener which is worse than adding more reps.
Reps should become active, just like they've always been until 1.7. Knowing when to kick up your rep was already following windows of opportunity. An armor tank in 1.6 with its rep on cooldown was a dead tank under fire. Now constant reps don't even make you think when to engage and when to pullback other than when you get overwhelmed, in which case you almost immediately repair back up to full and come back.
