Do you consider your character evil? Good? Neither? Both?
I consider my merc. Asoka "Deadly" Aztec to be an anti-hero. That is to say a guy that does the wrong things for the right reasons... Usually. Asoka isn't afraid to kill a few innocent people for the greater good, nor is he above commiting crimes against humanity for personal gain. He also has a personality disorder and so he has different shades of good and evil that pop up at impromptu times.
So who else is evil, or are you a goodey goodey?

Lawful Good I would say, despite how he acts. Always been a nice guy but has just gotten a little gristle due to the cold darkness of New Eden.

New Eden is far too grey and complex to have simply "good" and "evil" classifications for people. All the "lawful neutral, chaotic good" and whatever classification systems is also kind of restricting too.

You can classify characters based on how they most commonly behave (e.g. A character who is usually extremely vain, cares little for others; or some treacherous piece of filth who couldn't be trusted to turn off the shower after he left a hotel (while just visiting))

No it's not. These classifications are for the most common behaviors and core beliefs.
Batman is considered Lawful Good but he's had plenty of dark moments. Same with Superman.
Martin Luther King Jr. would fall under Lawful Good as well but he wasn't the perfect man. He cheated on his wife. Very "out of character."
But aside from that, if you can't classify yourself as lawful/chaotic good or lawful/chaotic bad, you belong in the neutral territory. Lawful neutral, neutral, and chaotic neutral would probably fit the majority of people in New Eden.

A very famous example is slavery. The Gallente and most Minmatar consider it to a very "Evil" thing. While the Amarr seem to just roll with it, not sure if they consider it to be "Good" or not though (need to look into that). As far as I'm aware, the Caldari don't really care, they have a sort-of "meh" attitude.
Well yeah, that's how it always is though and that's the best part. Figuring out why people consider themselves that.
For example.
Batman is commonly listed as Lawful Good but you could argue that he's Lawful Neutral because he doesn't just go with the law all of the time and has a strict personal code that he goes with no matter what(e.g. saving villains like the Joker or Mr. Zsasz who would just escape and go on to kill people again).
Magneto from the X-Men associated media is often considered Lawful Evil for his acts but you could honestly look at the guy as a Lawful Neutral when you dig into his beliefs and understandings. Hell. You could build him up as Neutral Good if you really wanted to.
As long as you could back up why a character should be considered of a certain alignment, you can't argue against it.

I really don't want to pigeonhole Galm into any of these rolls because frankly I have no idea what Galm is. As a character, he's kind of gotten away from me and I've stopped trying to figure him out and just take whatever he happens to do at face value. On one hand, he's a State-loving patriot who is willing to repel the Federation at all costs.
On the other hand, he's a former terrorist and drug addict. I suppose that marks him as Chaotic neutral? I don't know. If there was such a thing as lawful chaos, he'd fit into that just fine.

hmmm... Chaotic "good" I guess. I try to do the right thing, but it's not always by the right method, or the outcome is wrong.
Hell, take our first interaction Aztec: I set some mortals on fire, and then sued for peace from the barrels of my pistols. Good outcome, not very nice methodology.

Something like a "Neutral good" or "lawful neutral"? Maybe, I'm not too sure. A Merc, through and through, no apologies for who's killed, but who would rather stick to killing who's necessary, no more. As for what's "necessary," the money dictates that, as does the situation at the time. Take the orders and try to find the quietest way of executing them.

I look at Saren and see a chaotic good guy. He is a Minmatar, Kameira and idealist. While persuaded by the Amarr Empire to be a zealot in their ranks, he does not lack a calculated mind and, in his own mind, seems to know why the Empire is better than the Republic. He do, however, lack a certain bit of emotions from his training. So he might not be as "good" as he believes himself to be.

Lawfully neutral. Most of those who attack my districts may just be doing their job, but I know when an action is done for evil or personal gain. At the same time, any attack I'm in is just me doing my job. However, according to tvtropes.org, I may be a punch-card villain.
I see the Caldari and Gallente conflict as a something where both sides have some valid points. However, in the current conflict, the Caldari seem to be in the wrong for reacting against terrorism. A terrorist which the Gallente executed in front of a live audience. At the same time, the Gallente are the reason the Caldari split from the Federation in the first place because they overreacted in, again, terrorism. The Caldari deserve to have their planet back, but they don't have the right to invade the rest of the Federation. Therefore I'm more inclined to fight for the Fed.
The Amarr and Minmatar is pretty clear cut and the slave holders are clearly in the wrong, but the war methods of the Mimmatar are unjust and their culture in many ways is corrupt.
It all comes down to my loyalty lies with my corp, not with any particular race, nation, or especially pirate or terrorist group.
I view entities like AE and DS as neutral evil because anything and everything will be done to achieve their goals, regardless of what others think.

As a Federal Marine, neutral. We commit good and evil acts on behalf of the Federatsii.
Sometimes some actions may not be justifiable, such as executing Caldari personnel in cold-blood. At other times, we rescue the innocent from the Corporate Fascists we call the Caldari.
And yet other times, we defend local populaces against the enthroement of the Royal Empress' Armed Forces.
