Still not clear about it. Is it just a Cal version of a projectile (what the description includes) weapon or actually a rail version? I was assuming rail tech with the delay to fire. Still hurts armor more than shields though right?

It's Rail tech. And yes, it hits armor harder than shields.

It benefits from the Caldari Assault bonus.
Also, rail tech can be used to accelerate plasma charges OR projectiles. Not sure it has to be a non-projectile weapon in order to use rail tech. |

Still to date I have not a side arm that makes me happy Tried them all and just ehhhh. So I will await for new weapons in the future, CCP please make it happen. |

Its meh i just stick to my SMG's which work more reliable then the new sidearms.

The SMG is a better SMG than the Magsec.
The Magsec is a better AR than the SMG.
Both are good at different things. Personally I run the SMG more, but I have a character with a Magsec because it's a good weapon for that character. |
