In pre-1.8 I hardly saw any scouts. Nowadays in 1.8 I only see Gallente and Caldari Scouts. I understand that they are really good, but you can't ignore the potential of other suits. Whenever I'm in a battle I only see 1 other minmatar scout, and all the other scouts are gal and cal. There's so much you can do with the minmatar yet a majority of the people choose to go with the FOTM scouts (i.e. Gal and Cal) and brick tank them to Hell turning into the new "assaults." However if you really know how or want to know how to use a scout, the Minmatar scout is an amazing choice to choose.
Sure I'll concede that the Minmatar has the lowest tanking damage, but that's not it's function, if you use it's speed properly, you can dominate matches. Yesterday I went 45/6 in my advanced minja. The speed and stamina balance out the disparity it has with the lower base eHP. The minja also has the highest hacking speed you'll ever see in this game being able to hack points in less than 4-5 seconds depending on your hacking speed levels and codebreaker mods. In addition to the highest sprinting speed if you decide to gimp your suit with 3 kin cats (providing 11.12m/s) and out speeding any suit in this game (although it doesn't make much of a difference when you compare it to the gal's 11.11m/s) However you still get 10.38 m/s with only 2 kin cats and 9.35m/s with 1 leaving lots of room for flexibility for dampners/stamina mods/ plates (etc.). The moment you hit over 9m/s you can outflank a large number of players. Furthermore the stamina regen. is also the highest in the game pushing 63.00 (higher than amarr btw) when you have full biotic skills and without any stamina mods whatsoever and allowing you to have a full stamina bar within 4-5 seconds after it has been depleted. Nova Knives are another perk for the Minjas and can own any light, medium and some heavies with one slash if you have at least prof. 3. Complimenting this with the cloak is extremely useful and can drop squads if you come up behind them.
WIth so much emphasis on stamina and speed, the minja is an utter beast when it comes to CQC. People underestimate the minja because of it's limited base eHP and their belief in eHP > speed, but in the long run, it is speed that can save you from that last bullet and evade death.

people just jumped ship but it's ok they cant handle the best scout suit in the game.

Minmatar Scouting was really fun for a long time. Though I switched to Gallente Scout this patch mainly due to how hard it is to fit anything on the suit. From what I understand it is even harder now than it was pre-1.8. If they added some more PG I think Minmatar would be more viable. |

Myofibrils only work on melee.

They had added 3 more pg and about 130 cpu

Yes and no. I found it harder to create a suit that worked for me, but once I did, I have been doing much better than I ever have previously.
In the past week, I have been in the top spot on my team at least 3 times, a couple of them in wins, which is near equal to what I had been able to do in the the whole previous year.
Just being able to no longer be spotted 100 meters out, and instakilled by snipers, RR, AR, CR users means a lot. Not to mention being able to hack faster, which suits my play style perfectly.
Its still hard mode when you run into ck.0 maxed precision scouts that can hunt you down while cloaked, but they are rare.
If there are any scouts longing for the excitement of hardmode again, minjas are the closest you will get.
