The brought in an awesome game mode and scraped the other 3, its called Kill the Ghost and basically your the only guy visible in a battle and everybody else is cloaked and shotgunning you in the face.

You have to be pretty blind on some maps to not be able to spot cloaked scouts.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Well, I never left so it's hard to judge what you would consider worthy of a comeback.
There are no new maps or game modes, but all suites are finally here along with increased TTK and the demise of red line rail tanks. Whatever floats your boat...
I have a lot of fun (and no, I don't play scout). Just be prepared to re-learn the game (yet again). |

All of the racial suits are now released, with some tweaks to the existing ones. The majority of the racial weapons are now released as well. Cloaks were finally added in for scouts.
To be honest the game is good right now. Better than it ever was before. Its still incomplete with a handful of glitches and bugs but with the addition of the suits and 'new' content (things that should have existed from the get go) the game has a whole new feel to it.
Unfortunately no new maps or game modes were added. Scouts are the new FOTM slaying suit, vehicle spam is at an all time high and PC is incredibly pointless. Its more fun now than ever though.
Take it or leave it, but thats the truth. |

If you're able to distinguish between a blue glowing thing and something that's neither blue nor glowing, you should be fine.
Cloaks are cool, EWAR is better than it used to be, and Scouts are viable again. Assaults are in a bad place right now (for once), and there are a lot of tankers QQing about a nerf to hardeners that makes them not OP any more. |

If you have to ask if you should buy a PS3 to go back to playing Dust then no. Because obviously it isn't that important for you then.
If you would buy a PS3 for other games too, then definitely.

lol - in fairness I still hate snipers more. working out how to deal with scouts was actually quite good fun.
got a great moment chucking remotes onto a fixed spawn point - two of their invisi-scouts came scampering up to stop me with their shotguns and they did take me down - but not quick enough to stop me detonating one more remote and BOOM both spindly fools are blown off the rooftop - locked in invisible love forever...
Come back to DUST OP - it's well worth it.

You know I never even thought about that. I do hate snipers more than getting OHK by a cloaked shotgun scout. Touch+¬. |

There are moments when the whole game comes together - but I'm still trying to work out how best to punish snipers... I guess patrolling the redline is the answer but there's always way too much going on in battle!

IMO, it's better than ever.
Adjustments in your play style will be necessary, but once you adjust the game is much richer and more enjoyable..

I like the Caldari assault (the reload times are wicked)
Both Heavies and now Scouts have been buffed, so there is a lot of QQ going on now regarding the supposed UP of Medium frames, but I honestly think they are ok.
Melted a (albeit stupid) heavy yesterday with a militia assault and laser rifle, so if you play smart you will have no problem.
Just be aware there are cloaked mercs roaming around, but after a short time you will learn what to look for (or die trying) 
And besides, there are still a lot of good games on ps3. |

In all honesty ignore my other post. If you an get a cheap PS3 come back and give it a whirl. I believe they're only about $50 now, which isn't so bad. The game has changed a lot. It's still not super balanced or anything but it's much more creative and fun now. |

The game has changed a lot. Nearly a week later and there are still a ton of bugs left to fix. I'm enjoying it more than 1.7, but I'm reserving final judgment until all bugs are fixed.

I dont think you can read too well, I didnt leave by choice, i no longer had a PS3, and yes i would buy a console just for one game, i did it for halo 2 and MGS 4, i would buy another after the amount of time i spent in Dust which is probably several thousand hours (playing the game at least 8 hours a day for 16 months)
