The max self reps a logi would be able to do over the course of 10 seconds, and this is on a min logi, would be around 150, op definitely not just a small perk to the would be logistics class.

ButGÇª. The main thing is the cold fusion reactor is rotating the nanite cluster in a way that you are not able to turn the remote armor repair tool towards the source of energy,your dropsuite.

Smart thing here is to lay down 1 or 2 Allotek repper hives or drop an RE as I follow. If a logi could rep himself real quick, he would have an advantage against anyone, therefore breaking the game. I love team logis with a rep tool, if you could rep urself more and more logis would start lone wolfing instead of following a squad's designated heavy. The only time you can rep urself is wen ur tanking, driving a LAV, and flying a 'ship, that's the way it should be. You may support it if you only run a logi or an assault but heavies need logi men to survive. A truly dedicated team logi would continue reppn heavs (or any hurtn blues) and rep himself to stay alive as he stays on his heav.. If CCP actually allowed this, I think logis would start lone wolfing. It would decrease weapon damage, but increase efficacy of armor repair modules on your suit, or just give you a fixed increase. Just like the cloak you would have to wait for it to recharge before you can use it again, and it would have a much longer cooldown, very short duration. Either that, or give the repair tool the ability to steal armor from enemies and give it to you. Resistance 2 medic was the best...a laser that stole health from the enemy which gave you charges for your long range splash heal...and an ability that let you revive yourself if you got enough points in battle. And using this really isn't for lone wolfing it since after you do the self dump, you can't Sprint, change to a weapon or piece of equipment for 10 seconds you are completely vulnerable due to it over heating locking you into the repair tool while it is cooling down.

EoN. 315	Posted - 2014.03.31 14:49:00 - [14] - Quote Honestly I really don't see the issue with allowing the repair tool to have a secondary use but your , maybe not just a self healing mechanism though(I can easily play cat and mouse for 10 seconds while I get most if not all of my HP back). Here's an alternative idea: How about an area of effect healing pulse that heals 1 seconds worth or repair rate to everyone within 1/2 it's normal range(including the user) with an overheat of 5 seconds and a charge mechanism of 10 seconds after cooling. It's a fixed amount of armor that will be useful but not overpowering(maybe on minmatar logis).

Yea, when your the only logi in the squad, you can't really get reps. I have to carry 2 nanohives just so I can rep myself. 200k per suit is not worth it when you get shotgunned every 5 seconds. Sees prototompers... Sees blueberries start to snipe... Pulls out commando suit with laser rifle and swarm launcher...
