Can Remote Play be enabled for the PS3 to a PSP / PS Vita?
It is not uncommon for PC matches to be at times when the TV the PS3 is used with is in use by others. Remote Play across a LAN is very effective now, and would allow assistance to be provided to my Corps on PC matches.
It will also, in general, increase the number of players and the time they have in game, though compared to plain PS3 users I suspect the numbers are likely to be small. The number of good FPSs available on the Vita are few, so this use could be something Sony may be very supportive of - and provide assistance in the introduction of this service.
R2 L2 R3 L3 mapping on the Vita using the rear touchpad is not ideal, but can work. An alternative control layout may be an option. Comms may also be an issue - voice receive only? - I'm not terribly familiar with the microphone removing of such a solution. I assume that the remote play o/s overhead is not so much that it compromises the game application itself. |

i dont think this game would be possible on the psp, but there is no reason why it couldnt be available on the ps vita, with slightly toned-down graphics. there is already supposed to be a vita app coming for Dust though. adding the actual game to the vita would render the app completely obsolete. i wish Dust was available for vita though. i wold love to play it on the go rather than having to wait to get home to play it.

Remote Play is where the game runs on the PS3 and is streamed to the PSP or Vita rather than running natively on the handheld (which as you rightly say would find running the game a challenge). The processing power of the handheld is not important, only the bandwidth and stability on the Network. |

Have you ever tried Remote Play?
The Handheld turns the PS3 on remotely. You get the XMB as if you were sitting in front of the TV. You play the game streaming to your handheld. You then shut down the PS3 as normal. It powers down. The remote session ends.
If you are not using it then the PS3 is in standby. |
