More rampant than ever CCP it is insane most of the time equipment isn't even placed tactically I have seen 5 up links deployed right on top of each other (well within 2 feet of each other) along with half a thousand nanohives right next to them. There is no real purpose to this that can't be done with at least one maybe two up links and hives this is just pure gluttony for WP.

When did CCP say they were going to stop Equipment Spam? 1.8 seems a clear indication that to CCP Logi=Spammer.

Yea, the only reason you go caldari logi is to spam nanohives.

I will admit that I spam uplinks. Only, not a couple feet from each other.
I usually place flux in places very close to objectives. quantum and gauged a little farther out but nowhere near as noticeable as the flux. |

I really hope they fix that about uplinks. There was a thread about some ideas being tossed around and the one I appreciated suggested that uplinks have a certain radius that keeps other uplinks from being deployed close to its vicinity.
I can't countless times that I have dropped a uplink at a tactical location only to see 4 more being dropped around its vicinity. I can't help but laugh and think why would they do that when they could drop it at another location that would help pin the enemies instead of having a bottleneck respawn point.

My cal logi has a bonus to nanohives, and I can put out 6 typically...and they run out so quickly anyway that I welcome more to my pile, they're not trying to steal my WP, they're trying to help the triage station last longer. To those team players, I thank you.

Well there are certain gamemodes, where a lot of equipment helps a lot.
Especcially in domination matches in cqc situations. If you put down craploads of triage hives, people survive longer. If you spam uplinks, it is not as easy to destroy them all at once. Equipment spam is for the defenders of siege situations...
In PC games you will often see more defined equipment positioning, since too much equipment was for a long time considered to be the reason of lag/low frame rates... |

Spam that close together doesn't even make sense. You're just setting yourself up for a flux.
Better to spread your uplinks out across the map. You'll probably get more spawns throughout the game that way, rather than a burst of spawns that could have all come from the same uplink.

On the Combat Engineer ALT I peg the concentrations with a scanner, curchunk-curchunk, and the War Points cha-ching into my pocket. Those Dropship only accessible sockets are the best. People throw down a pile of Uplinks and Nanohives a "safe " spot. I just bank shots off an inner structure and let the splash do the rest.

Yeah, I was using a militia nanohive (yeah I know militia stuff is supposed to be crappy) but I was really surprised when it instantly died out when I used it. Also
but going as far as needing an emp to kill equipment means they encourage the equipment spam to a certain degree.

No, THIS is equipment spam:
http://youtu.be/5_aYzUxOCMo
However, in 1.8 I can destroy groups of uplinks and nanohives with a single clip of any weapon. A mass driver is even more effective than fluxes even because of how little health equipment has now.
