Hi everyone i've been away for abit, but im back now putting in my two cent's so here it is.
From what i understood 1.8 was not supposed to be a vehicle patch or anything to do with them. So why is it everytime CCP does an update they go into a random direction and update something that was a core mechanic. At one point in time in the begining of the closed beta CCP made large rails range unlimited and they could damage the MCC, was fun sitting in a tank squad and just shooting the MCC all game lol. Little off topic but i logged after 1.8 dropped to see how everything was a right away i started to notice all the little things CCP doesn't tell you in the patch notes like them nerfing large railguns range by HALF! i can't even shoot a dropshit thats looks like i can throw a stone at it enough is enough CCP, if you're going to update something confirm what you're doing with you're player base and i mean DO IT RIGHT. Beides that i do think CCP did a good job with 1.8 well besides from passive skills not working,forgeguns being broken as hell,swarmers doing to much damage even with shield hardners on, and a rediculous amount of typo's.....who knows if CCP even checks the content they are about to release but hey i guess thats why we all have to remain understanding that this game forever will be a beta.

Large rail gun turret range is whack!! I agree,...a large rail turret can only shoot a couple hundred meters? Ridiculousness!! |

The vehicle nerf was in a hotfix implemented a couple days after 1.8s release, and it did a lot to balance the game. I believe that railguns are now fine where they are. And the hardener nerd allows infantry to fight back against vehicles, even the "permahardened" variety.

Pulls out commando suit with laser rifle and swarm launcher...

Ok a couple days after 1.8 CCP's first on the to do list was to nerf large railgun range you're kidding me right, heavies having like 100 extra cpu, 50% of forge gun shots being blanks,swamers efficiency is to high or needs to be balenced better, the ADS drives like its a viper now...SLOW AS HELL. Oh wait there's more, glitching cloak with nova knives being able to slay and stay cloaked all the skills that are not working propperly, BUT OH yes CCP just has to hotfix large rails.
