The way I see it with logistics suits, they have all of their utility slots for a reason, limiting them to being useful really with only one tool somewhat defeats the purpose, yes you can still use other tools and get a fairly crappy bonus but in my opinion its still kind of limiting on a logi suit
My suggestion would be to reduce the effectiveness of the suits main tool slightly, and slightly add effectiveness to using other tools for example.
Using the Caldari Logistics
- Caldari Logistics: +10% to nanohive maximum nanites and +5% to supply rate and repair amount per level.
- Caldari Logistics: +7.5% to nanohive maximum nanites and +4% to supply rate and repair amount per level. 2.5% to the effectiveness of the active scanner, repair tool, and drop uplink. ( 2.5% bonus to active scanner visibility range duration and 2.5% to active scanner precision per level. 2.5% to repair tool range and 2% to repair amount per level. 2.5% reduction to drop uplink spawn time and +1 to maximum spawn count per level.
The rest of the suits would follow the same idea, what do you guys think?
I feel it would make logis all around better at being logi, If i trained my Gallente logistics skill to 5, I feel that I should also be able to use more utility gear than just scanners more than say a scout or assault suit would.
I also think it would kind of it along line with the new heavy suits, they have a bonus resistance to their main opponents weapons ( Caldari to Gallente and vice versa Amarr to Minmatar and vice versa) and have a smaller resist to their allied faction. ( Gallente and Minmatar and vice versa and Amarr and Caldari and vice versa )
My Heavy Never Dies.

The equipment nerf does not make every other type of equipment not receiving a specific logi bonus useless or even not worth using. Everything is still good at proto level. If you really want to be a super logi and do everything then it should cost you some SP and ISK. |

I have trained my Gallente Logi to level 5.
Not only do I get my really nice specialized scans for finding scouts, but I also have three other equipment slots to to fill up with equipment.
No scout or assault can do that.
I switched from Amarr logi to Gallente with this recent build change, and I can't understand how people think they are in any way UP. The suit can rock up to 1000 HP and still carry 4 pieces of proto gear.
Real AV doesn't stop until all the tanks are dead.

My Amarr Logi works fine with a nanohive and a rep tool.
Not as well as it might once have, true, but I don't notice the range nerf, I get a bonus to uplinks and I don't ever drain a nanohive even now, so...

I find it a little unbalanced, that the logi bonuses make some of the logis relatively unattractive for PC.
Right now, the Amarr logi is the most sought after of them because the spawn time bonus is the most valuable (bringing your troops in faster than the enemy is always a major advantage.
The Minmatar bonus is nothing to spit at, but it still gets outclassed by the amarr one.
The Gallente bonus is pretty worthless, since Caldari scouts are the better passive scanners anyway, so you pretty much need one in every squad.
Caldari logi is OKish, but nothing to write home about...
All in all, I'd prefer if all the logis would get a bonus to all equipment (say 15% better values than other suits) and the racial stuff gets another 10% buff. That would avoid, that you have to skill into suits just for one particular piece of equipment.
I've heard of guys that are brought into PCs just for dropping uplinks in their Amarr suits. I think this is against the customizability that Dust is supposed to have. So even out the differences, that all logi suits are better with equipment then non logis, and only slightly better with their own stuff. |
