57k isk proto suits --> 47k isk
Proto weapons 47k isk --> 28k isk (like proto FG and sniper)
specialized proto weapons 77k isk --> 47k isk.
It's stupid to run around in a 150k isk suit specifically because its one 10k isk HMG away from death.
or increase the isk payout.
99% of dust is poor while the other 1% are rich because of PC.
It''s a waste of SP to get stuff to proto especially if you never use it.

It's all about the skills, bro.
Also, don't use what you can't afford to use. I have 70 proto suits that have all proto except for the K5 Specialist Shotgun in it and I don't even PC.
I almost never run it, though. Plus, it's a proto Scout.
Get those skills to 5 and use STD gear lol maximum awesomeness. |

I'm not sure about the suit drop, it could be good or bad.
But weapons have to stay the same price wise.

Get those skills to 5 and use STD gear lol maximum awesomeness. skills are good but i'll never be able to afford proto at the rate of which STD suits die. I only have one proto suit in stock and I use it in special occasions when the enemy team spams proto but if I lose it it practically puts me at a loss in the match.. Maybe if they increased payout I would be able to run suits other than advanced or STD. |

so 77k isk for duvolle tac AR is fine? 77k isk for a underpowerd specialized weapon is fine in your opinion. 77k isk for any weapon is obsured especially when you can get a whole indestructible tank for that cost. |

No. It is stupidly easy to make money even without getting into PC. Lower the prices on things and I will just become a billionair more quickly.

that's not the point. The point is poor players not being able to enjoy the game. I litrally went 28 and 1 in my proto suit yesterday but in the end of the match I 210k isk which lead to a 40k isk profit. Like it's not rewarding enough to run proto especailly even when you do good and make a 10-50 isk profit in the end of the match. I have so much proto things I cannot afford there fore never use. |

You aren't supposed to be able to run proto in pubs. Proto is the big gun you pull out when you need to win regardles of the cost. Making suits and modules cheaper will just result in vets like me saying "screw honor I'm going to pub stomp because there is no reason not to." Sure, I could already run proto for months with my current isk reserves, but I don't because I'd loose isk, which I hate doing. No you really don't want more people running proto since that isn't going to help new players.
The problem your attmpting to address is the massive isk imbalance we are facing. I've been tanking about this for about a year now actually and your solution, make everyone rich is not going to result in a fun diverse battlefield. No what we need are interesting and attractive isk sinks. Something that will get the vets like me to thow our money away so we can't come into every pub match in proto gear.
Clearly we both agree that there is a problem with me having hundreds of millions of isk but I will tell you giving everyone that much money won't make the game fun for new players. No, what we need to do is make everyone poor, which will make all of our quests for isk so much more rewarding.

It took me a year to get core suit skills maxed, my weapons to optimized 4, and multiple suits to adv, and 1 proto. My sentinels are the same fittings in different suits, i just like the Pros eyes. I run proto cause i earn my isk the hard way. I know how to lay a frikken uplink facing the right direction under cover where its needed for easy money. I cover, or advance flank for more survivable 1v1, and i blow sh!t up. Those 3 things will make at least 6 to 10 mil a day after replacing gear.

Considering more people run pubs then they do holding hands in PC where else are they supposed to use proto?
CCP you better nail 1.8, as it stands 1.7 is a total disaster.

This again huh? I replied in depth to a thread like this yesterday but I can't be bothered to dig it out or type it again so here a TLDR:
The majority of "the 1%" are closed beta vets, myself included. We amassed our wealth through being cost effective for over a year of play. Proto is where it is meant to be. It takes significant SP and ISK to run an effective PRO suit, for marginal increase in power. It is "end-game", not meant to be accessible to all from the start. |

Oh I have no problem with people using proto, I just think it should almost always be a money loosing venture. Proto is, as I already said, about winning at all costs and ignoring profit.

No it's really not. Here's why:
Spending the SP to get a suit or weapon to proto gives you substantial bonuses to extremely useful stats, in addition to unlockin weapon proficiency. These passive upgrades apply to even the basic variants of weapons and suits, allowing you to run basic gear that is as potent as advanced gear (and adv->proto) when compared to someone that doesn't have all those upgrades...which is the vast majority of the playerbase.
TL;DR: Actually, in the long run it is well worth it.
