How many new players will stick with a game where:
Most of the enemy is either invincible (heavies vs. their gimped short range starter weapons and suits), or invisible (cloaks vs. their lack of any scanning skills).
An enemy you can either not see, or not kill.
Try a Starter suit and see how you do. And remember, you have core skills and proficiencies. And you know the maps. And don't replace any modules - that's cheating. |

I still think it's easier to kill a cloaked scout that it was to kill a brick tanked proto gal logi with triple damage mods, sitting on a triage hive, scanning all the time, and using a pro RR. I don't miss that from the last patch.
Scouts are super easy to kill by comparison.
Quit the QQ.
Gun control is not about guns...it's about control.
The only way to ensure freedom is by having the means to defend it.

Most of us make new characters... and go through the process... of leveling it with no skill points.
Cloaking lvl 1 is easy to get....
Logistics all having defined needed roles on the battlefield...
And Commandos... Being so extremely strong with its natural base stats... Allows anyone to get competitive quicker then ever in the history of DUST.
Does CCP tell you any of this ? no... But the information is still there for anyone to access.
They gave everyone 5 'neo' Commando suits of the 4 races to everyone to try out... I Suggest try them out... It's for the event anyway every kill you get while in the commando get's you extra Skill points To be given after the Events end.
Cloaking is relatively NEW in FPS games... Most FPS players have never played a multiplayer game WITH a cloak.. It's going to take 3-4 weeks for people to get used to Seeing it and picking it out... Learning the run spots, camp spots... Places cloaky people may be waiting for them...
The People who played with Cloaks in Crysis are already able to pick them out like a sore thumb. Even the ones fully still and cloaked... They still pick them out.
And then the new generation will benefit from the struggles of this generation and it becomes even easier.. |

No, no it's not. Not even relatively new. Cloaking in pvp/pve FPS is almost as old as the genre itself.

A good point, but no QQ from me my friend - I'm doing just fine.
I'm just concerned about two things new players might find incredibly frustrating. |

I know these things, but new players won't. A point you make yourself.
New player tries a few games and goes 0/15. 7 kills from single shotgun shots from a foe they never saw. 8 kills from heavies they emptied a clip into before getting blown away in a micron.
Hopefully they hang around enough to learn what a commando or remote explosive is... |
