For most of Uprising, I played a MinLogiScout (MinLogi with profile damps, KinCats, ScP/CR/SG, injectors, rep tool, links, and hives). I did okay-ish with it: attempting to make the most out of the MinLogi's speed and well balanced slots.
However, now that 1.8 has come and having given up the Logi suit, I still find myself playing the same exact role on my GalScout. If I am in a squad, I usually start with a cheap, speed tanked fit to rush in and drop uplinks, and then I switch to a fit that has a rep tool and injectors.
Flanking and Scouting are still part of my duties, but providing reps or rezzes is actually easier to do with the Scout's speed and low profile. With the smaller number of actual Logistics on the field, have any of you taken up the role as ScoutLogis? |

Well, I have a fitting with a rep tool and Injector that I use in one of two occasions. 1: No one else is being a medic and I'm in the mood to be one 2: I feel like using the Laser Rifle.
That count? I also did this back when in Chrome when the Scout type-II was around.
I am part shovel, part man, full scout, and a little bit special.

Yeah, the logi nerf went way to far.
They still can do all, but not as good as scouts and even commandos...
If you want somebody to rep heavies, put a proto repper on a commando, the better survivability is key here. For rezzing and remote uplinks, the scouts are better. For resupplying, a cheap logi suit is ok, but you better change to something with higher survivability after you drop the equipment. The only suit really important for PC seems to be the Amarr logi, with the Min logi (heavily tanked) as second, since there are so many heavys.
For pub matches, where you have to make money (if you're not in a PC corp) the logi suits are not really viable, since they are just too expensive (if you don't gimp the equipment).

When doing logi-jobs with a scout, especially repping you can drop prof. dampeners and replace them with armor plates since your stuck with your reppee and your rep beam is visible anyway.

It's probably a good idea to use a caldari scout with maxed precision and some preci enhancers, so you won't get flanked that easily... Havn't tried that yet though. |

Heck it is had enough to find a logibro or logisis let alone a scout with their equipment.
