If PRO gear was cheaper then everybody would use it. The only people consistently using it are those with millions upon millions of isk.
It could help alleviate the pubstomping? |

Prototype gear shouldn't be cheaper persay, but MLT-ADV gear should not exist. Prototype should be the standard, same with weapons, and skills only make that item better and/or let you specialize into a TECH 2 variant.

So a PRO (or Tech2) Assault frame would still excell in this specific role but be worse than even a STD suit in about everything else. Sentinels, as another example, would be the only ones that can reach twice or more eHP over the respecive STD variant and only with some stinging downside that makes it almost useless outside of defending a perimeter.
On topic: Please no. We need less PRO crap in pubs, not more.
Tiers are badly executed but they at least serve their designed purpose at the same time. Balancing risk/reward is part of New Eden and making PRO available to everyone removes this aspect aswell as raises the SP threshold to enjoy the game by several millions.
Pluck the risk less ISK faucets, give vets the option and necessity to waste their PRO/Officer stuff in more important ways and people stop bothering wasting valuable resources on puny stat padding before you can say "Protostomp".
You can take a benign object, -you can take a cheeseburger and deconstruct it to its source...

This would actually mean that new players become utterly unable to compete as the vast majority of targets is practically unassailable to them.
I am much more in favour of a tiericide based solution - where there is only one tier of gear, rather than STD/ADV/PRO.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

should have tier based . militia and base tier 1 ....adv tier 2 .....proto tier 3 . you can still use lower gear in upper tiers but never higher gear in lower matchs |
