With 1.8 logis die even faster and assaults are scarce.
My request for logis: -Return the innate armor repair
Now before you go "OMG SLAYER LOGI QQ" It is true assaults currently have 1 less slot than their logi equivalent. What if assault slots performed better with their racial modules?
My request for assaults: Amarr-2-4% reduction to speed penalty of plates -or- 3-4% More armor per plate Caldari-3%More shield given by shield extenders -or- 2-3% reduction to shield extenders delay penalty Gallente-3-4% improved repair module effeciency -or- 5% improved repair of reactive plates Minmatar-3-5% effeciency of shield regulators -or- 4-7% Increased effectiveness of biotics modules
All of the assault bonuses would be per level.
Thoughts?

A 5% per level bonus to reactive plates would do nothing because of the extremely low rep rate of the reactive plates. This would only result in one extra hp per second (at level 5) when using the proto plates which is pathetically little.
Your concept is great, adding more of a bonus to the assaults survivability by boosting their use of racial moduals. I just think that the way you are proposing to implement it, specifically the size of the bonuses.

Shield Regulator bonus on MInmatar.....What are you smoking! You need to dual tank a min to get any decent EHP and if you want good shields then i need a cpu for the modules and recharges without wrecking my fit.....OR....Hey, I can fit a shield regulator in my 3rd low slot. GENIUS!!

Why not attach this new bonus to the Medium Frame skill? Have it stack with specialist-role bonuses? That would give us all a reason to '5' that skill for once.
The most OP weapon on the Dust Battle Field:
One good logi, one rep tool, and a heavy.

I just think that the way you are proposing to implement it, specifically the size of the bonuses. They were just generalisations. Didn't put much thought into them to be honest. The % can change to a higher or lower value,as long as it isn't OP or UP.

I would start with rebalancing the slots and CPU/PG of Assault suits a bit. I still can't fit nearly what I want on a Assault ck.0 with maxed fitting skills without a CPU enhancer.
Compare that to my Sentinel ck.0 that has more CPU/PG than he knows what to do with. Or a Scout ck.0 who has better recharge, recharge delay, speed, all scanning related skills, fits a cloak, and an extra equipment all at the cost of a little bit of EHP and a low slot.
The low slot ultimately accounts for little since, for example, I use them for cardiac regulators and profile dampeners on an Assault to make up for speed/visibility which the scout gets innately with its suit. As far as EHP, with all Shield Extenders on High Slots the Scout only has 100 less Shield compared to Assault (453 vs 553), but trades that for 2 second better delays on both as well as 20 more shield recharge. Effectively Scouts get about one of every non-HP/damage related complex module (scan precision/damp/range, shield regulator, cardiac regulator, kinetic catalyzers) worth of bonuses innately with its suit at the cost of a meager amount of EHP.
This is all just Caldari stuff but I'm sure the other races are likely similar in regards to their discrepancies. Then you compound that with the terrible bonuses that the Assaults get that completely detract the player from any sort of customization because they typically provide some crap bonus to a single weapon type while Scouts get these broad spectrum bonuses to scan, hack, or speed related bonuses. I would much rather have, for example, +5% to shield recharge rate per lvl as a Caldari Assault than some boring ass weapon bonus.
-10% to shield recharge delays per level (Caldari Assault) +1 to armor/sec (Gallente Assault) +2% to movement speed (Minn Assault)
Stuff like that. Give us something that doesn't pinhole the suit bonus into using a specific weapon. Give bonuses to things that Assaults would need in battle in a meta sense, like what you did with scouts. Don't force us to use something specific if we want to take advantage of the suit.
IWS said there's talks about ways to buff Assaults so I'm interested to see what they do. Right now they're a little lackluster even with slightly more EHP.
