Scouts can run 9 m/s, have similar hp values of a light assault, are passively dampened, can use a cloak...the list just goes on. The other suits might be more combat effective and have more potential hp but you will be dragging behind the rest of the scouts because you won't know where the enemy is Also, it doesn't matter how much health you have because shotguns and nova knives will all kill you the same. Knowin where the enemy is should be step one. That's why we have eyes and ears.

There is much struggle when trying to reconcile the intended use of advantages and players who find unexpected exploits that tilt the game in scary directions. It was all good just a week ago when everything was eHP based. Hopefully once everything's fixed, eHP will be as viable as Scan Prec./Profile Damp. tank. Would imagine that heavies with resistance to plasma, aka the gatdamn Sentinel Ck.0 and Sentinel Mk.0, would poo on scouts using shotguns. The only things they'd have to worry about is Hulk-Busting Scouts fitted with cloaks, dampeners, and microfibril mods for their Nova Knives. Speed tanking is damn near obsolete because of the cloak. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Still think we should have some equipment that acts like a module and boosts your sprinting speed by a percentage(and increase the speed ceiling) for a while. Have reps, nanohive plus reps and uplinks...you can be beastly with the set up. Don't put a RR on it though. Since the nerf, all the RR does is let people know where you shooting from.
