Scout with a GEK. I'm serious. But the logi and assault suits are still good for max tanking.

it's too early to tell. I did really enjoy soloing lone heavies with a ar/smg fit scout the other night.

Not to be offensive to annybody I think that The suits should not be exploited like they were with slayer logis and now with slayer scouts. I like to use these suits as they are intended

Why? because you can 24/7 360 passive scan the entire time and know exactly where the enemy is, what direction they're facing, etc.
but wait, I thought that the whole reason active scanners were problemactic was because they could do this...huh.
Scouts can run 9 m/s, have similar hp values of a light assault, are passively dampened, can use a cloak...the list just goes on. The other suits might be more combat effective and have more potential hp but you will be dragging behind the rest of the scouts because you won't know where the enemy is
Also, it doesn't matter how much health you have because shotguns and nova knives will all kill you the same.

Intended Advantage may be a better way to phrase it. There is much struggle when trying to reconcile the intended use of advantages and players who find unexpected exploits that tilt the game in scary directions.

If you are hardcore taste try AR with Gal Assault. If you can rock it you will just drop people with it. if you are terrible at aiming go for a diff suit. Its very all or nothing fit

Is Spring the season of the Scan Prec./Profile Damp. tank? What happened Dust mercs? It was all good just a week ago when everything was eHP based.
Hopefully once everything's fixed, eHP will be as viable as Scan Prec./Profile Damp. tank. Would imagine that heavies with resistance to plasma, aka the gatdamn Sentinel Ck.0 and Sentinel Mk.0, would poo on scouts using shotguns. The only things they'd have to worry about is Hulk-Busting Scouts fitted with cloaks, dampeners, and microfibril mods for their Nova Knives.
Speed tanking is damn near obsolete because of the cloak. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Still think we should have some equipment that acts like a module and boosts your sprinting speed by a percentage(and increase the speed ceiling) for a while.
Maybe we can get a focus on buffs and debuffs(eWar or Crusader suit) after all of this is said and done.

Because you aren't suppose to slay with a scout suit. Even with a sniper or shotgun.

Logi suit is still viable, but I would suggest throwing a GEK on it. Have reps, nanohive plus reps and uplinks...you can be beastly with the set up.
Don't put a RR on it though. Since the nerf, all the RR does is let people know where you shooting from. Ran with a GEK and its intimidation factor pushes mercs back.
